Republican Max Miller is staying in the race for Ohio's 7th despite having accusations of physical abuse of his wife and very young daughter, as supported by Child Services investigations.

Republican leadership says they will do their own investigation, Trump says it's only accusations.

Must be really hard to find a Republican candidate who is not a complete POS.

Trump had a different opinion of Platner who also faced allegations...thug, outright pig, etc. At least democrats hold their POS's accountable.

The DSA could become a real millstone for the Dems., since something happened over the past few months and the DSA seems to have become radicalized. When you are selling the Communist Manifesto at your rallies, you have lost any sense of political reality.

You can buy a copy of the Communist Manifesto at any good book store, or read it in a library. It's also online. I think you mistake availability for advocacy.

I think if the DSA guy wins the Michigan primary, the Dems can kiss that state senate seat goodbye in November.

Looks as if the DSA guy will win the Michigan primary. The Dems can kiss that senate seat goodby if that happens. Nomnting somebody that for to the left in a Swing State is pure stupidity.
There is no vast hidden left wing vote in Michigan to save the situation.

I wouldn't be so quick. The last few polls I've seen El Sayed getting closer to Rogers (if not leading) than he had before, not that much different than Stevens hypothetical matchup. Either way I think the independents and democratic base is fired up enough to get either over the finish line; I'm guessing MAGA voters will stay at home since the whole thing is rigged anyway and Trump isn't on the ballot.

Michigan is a Swing state, with the urban areas being Blue, and the rural areas being red, and what makes it a swing state is there is amuch closer balance between the two then in many states. The side that can most sucessfully "raid" into the other's area usually wins. Not sure El Sayed can sucessfullly win votes in Rural Michigan, which he has to do to win.

I have to admit I have been shaken by finding out how radical the DSA program really is. I understand this is a recent development, but the DSA has been taken over by a group of militants who, frankly, seem to be out and out Marxist. Selling the Communist Manifesto at their rallies is not comforitng to me.

Did James Carville take over your account?

You have evidence this is happening at all?

Gonna go down to the wire in Michigan. Stevens seems to have made big gains in the last couple of days.

That is the logic that cost Clinton and Harris the election.
Dems face a hard wall of never-blue voters, "centrists" who at most will sit out an election instead of voting Red.
The only way to win is mobilize the vast number of potential voters on the Left.
This has been demonstrated over and over, and some people not liking that won't change the fact.

I have noticed how ideologues hate moderated even more then do the radicals on the other side.
Frankly, your theory is full of crap.
And I see you firmly beleive in the Lost Tribe theory of elections.
What proof do you have there is a vast pool of left wing voters out there?

In Missouri, the GOP tried to push an amendment that would make it harder for citizen initiatives to happen. In the past these initiatives have secured rights to abortion, expanded medicaid and other measures. This ticked off the GOP as its really annoying when the peasants won't let you rules them as you please so they proposed an amendment that would make it harder to get these initiatives on the ballot. This was done by requiring more votes be from specific districts, etc.

The GOP made the usual claims -- that the initiatives are being bought by outsiders, this will give rural voters more influence.

The initiative failed with over 80% voting against it. The GOP Governor is having a tantrum.

The GOP will have to return to the method over overruling popular citizen initiatives one-by-one with legislation.

Another initiative to end income tax also failed.

Yeah, Missouri Republicans are powermad. They hold every statewide office, and a supermajority in the legislature, but it's not enough for them: they want to make sure the people of Missouri can't possibly have anything the state Republican party doesn't want them to have.

I don't live in Missouri, but we live close enough that all our television is out of St. Louis and the ads leading up to this election were like five to one trying to make amendments 4 & 5 sound like the greatest things ever, and yet both failed by 80% of the vote. That says something when even the deep red double dumb ass hicks can see what a POS the amendments were.
