Exactly so. I am so damn sick of these mealy-mouthed hypocrites bleating about how Americans should be able to have confidence in the integrity of the voting process when they are the ones sowing the doubt for no other reason than that it benefits their party to do so.
 
We have a chance at a non-GOP senator.

We also have a referendum vote. This would make governors and legislatures have to follow all the referendums. But of course they would ignore this one too.

Republicans are favored to win with the strategy of disenfranchising as many minorities that they can. It's a win for The Regime at the cost of democracy.

It sounds like he's saying "We've almost cheated enough to win, let's cheat some more".

The disturbing part is that they have almost cheated enough to win and they will cheat more without this guy even saying it.

He's not far from the truth either. They pretty much have 211 seats locked in without any issue. Always seems like the Dems are struggling to maintain. I've said it a few times but it's one of the things that confuses me. The Republicans can do whatever they want and they seem to win. Dems do anything wrong and they seem to lose the House, Senate, and WH. At some point it has to become clear that the US prefers right-wing political leadership. It sucks, but look at what Trump and the GOP have done to the citizenry and they still enthusiastically line up to vote for him.

Doesn't make sense to me but it is what it is and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

When the right wing act this way their supporters are fine with it and the centre & far left take it as evidence that all politicians are the same so it's not worth voting (unless for a third party candidate that won't win).

It's a combination of things, mostly deliberate Gerrymandering in the House, accidental Gerrymandering in the Seante and an Electoral College that favors land over people.

Republicans got a huge edge in House seats after the 2010 Project Redmap, which allowed them to Gerrymander like mad in states that they controlled. It didn't help that Democrats decided to respond with legislation requiring bipartisan redistricting committees in states that they controlled (it appears that Dems have gotten over this one-sided Marquis of Fantailler silliness, but time will tell).

The Seante has the one-state/two senator rules regardless of state population. This has lead to a situation where even though the Senate majority has changed hands several time in recent years, the Republicans Senate caucus hasn't represented a majority of Americans in decades. Compounded with an accidental filibuster rule which heavily favors the party that doesn't want to do anything in the Senate and...

And of course, the Presidency has been won twice in the last seven elections by the guy with fewer votes thanks to the Electoral College. This ratio will probably go up due to the mathematics of campaign spending and microdata analysis.
 
Hey now, the Senate represents the people who matter in the USA, which are white, christian men. It's about time the House caught up! Republicans are doing what it takes to bring about Apartheid!! Whoo hoo!!!

Mid-terms are almost always a bloodbath for the party in power. In my lifetime the party in control of the White House has lost seats in 15 out of 17 midterms. The only exceptions were 1998 and 2002. In 1998, the people were expressing their disapproval of the impeachment of Bill Clinton, and in 2002 they rallied 'round the flag after 9-11. In 2018, Trump's first midterm, the Democrats picked up 40 seats, leaving the GOP with 201, and Trump had a much higher approval rating back then (44% versus 35% today).
I always look to the prediction markets, because there people are putting their money where their mouth is. On Predictit, the Democrats are 73% to win the House, while Kalshi is a little more bullish on their prospects at 78%.
