At the moment, the AP says Dem Scott Colom leads by 43 votes. A lot of GOP might regret never passing a recount law, or they might end up being thankful.

Interesting if the ranked choice comes into play in Alaska. I can't imagine real Dan Sullivan getting the 2% he lost. In the ranked choice, do you need to fill more than one line? Can you just pick one and leave it at that?

Depends on the jurisdiction. In Ireland you can vote as far down the ballot as you want. But in Australia I think you're expected to give your preference to every candidate.

Peltola is tied with Dan S Sullivan at 48%. Dan J Sullivan has 2% which I thought was pretty high. He's getting the drunk vote.

And with such a narrow margin that it can be argued that adding Dan J to confuse voters may have been decisive.

Not yet. According to the Associated press count, she has a slight lead, but more than 25% of the expected vote has yet to be counted. Also, if no candidate achieves a majority of votes, they will go to ranked-choice counting.

Also, in Mississippi, where Democrat Scott Colon has a 43 vote lead, about 5% of the expected vote has yet to be counted. And Mississippi accepts mail ballots up to 5 days after the election, as long as they're postmarked by the day of the election.

It could be at least a week before we know who won these two races.

One of the big things to take from this is that we'll see an end to the dog-and-pony-show Republican-led hearings in the House and Senate. We'll also get serious hearings on the Epstein files. The ◊◊◊◊ that's been going on will be widely exposed.

So glad to have been wrong (I voted Dems take House, Reps keep Senate). But the best things I've been seeing are actually on the State level rather then the Federal level. For instance in Texas, all the major State level offices, and the Texas House flipping is a much bigger deal than Talarico winning in my opinion.
