What would help is if the Dem Super PACs would start campaigning. Why when I look at my phone am I not bombarded by social media ad blitz after ad blitz going negative on Trump? The Dems are engaged in political malpractice.

I have no adblocker on my phone, so I've been getting Biden ads before YouTube videos there for a month or two. I finally saw the first Trump one a few days ago. I have an adblocker on my computer, so I've seen neither there. (YouTube just started blocking people with adblockers again yesterday.)

One could argue that that's the wrong place to put ads (although I hear YT is pretty popular and lots of people use it with phones and most phones don't have adblockers), but, aside from that, the fact that I've seen it more from Biden than from Trump might not necessarily be a good sign anyway, because the Biden ad is just Biden talking & asking for help. Biden ads should be showing & playing Trump.

We could still avoid Orange Hitler if one of them dies or is otherwise eliminated from the election, such as by conviction for a coup attempt. But presuming both stay in it, there are still things Biden could do.

An ad campaign simply playing Trump's own Hitleresque words would help. Not just saying he's like that; Democrats have been saying that about all Republicans at least since 1990 and people are used to the fact that it's always been lies before now. Also no "Let's be positive & hopeful" crap because nobody's buying it anymore. When there's only one thing you're really offering and one possible reason to vote for you, that one thing (not being Orange Hitler) needs to be what you keep reminding people of.

But more important than any ad campaign would be just doing his current job better. He was more popular when he was doing things people liked or even just putting in a token act of even feebly sort-of trying. But he hasn't done much of anything for a while, at least not things people like. His sinking popularity at the same time has not been a coincidence.
All the adverts should be about Trump being a loser, how he was already beaten by Biden. It will drive Trump insane.

Polls don't work. A poll a month ago and a poll a month from now are equally bad. CNN is just "making news" as they do not feel like covering Trump of Biden in weekly news.

So you think it's impossible for Trump to win ? Why ?

Of course it's not impossible for him to win. What is stupid is posting every time the news media reports on a new poll (just about every day).

Are people going to keep this up for the next year? 12 months so close to 365 nonsense posts on meaningless polls?

Trump had good support from his base for 4 years when he did...very little. But then it ended and the base is all he has for the 4 Biden years.

2020 went
Popular vote Biden 81,283,501[1] Trump 74,223,975[1]

I can't predict one thing: turnout. But even with less turnout, it will be difficult for Trump to repeat the 2016 states that he won by very small margins.

I don't trust the polling even for the battleground state at this point.

I will give Trump a 20% chance of winning. But as he will run out of money soon...it will be just his base to get him ad money etc. Biden will not run out of money.

Or you can call it closing your eyes before a disaster ..

Trump narrowly leads Biden in hypothetical rematch, new poll finds, with a tenth of voters undecided...

I don't know what to think. trump now seems to be openly touting a subversion of our democracy. I don't understand how anyone could even consider voting for him. Except I've read serious people seriously saying, "The system is so bad just destroy it and we'll start all over."

This is turning into a freaking nightmare! :(

What else are people going to post in this thread for the next year?

I could tell you that Biden's approval rating is lower than Trump's at this point in their respective tenures, if that's of any interest.

The opposition also has a vote and they can respond in kind by voting
for Dean Philips. You could get into a voting war between the two parties
and both Biden and Trump didn't get the nomination. Now you've entered
Donald Rumsfeld risky game of two unknownable knowns. Anythings possible.
Suppose Philips doesn't know anything about foreign relations and gets into
a nuclear war with China?

Oh, dear.

It appears someone else has the same curiosity with dark powers that I do...
But not the wisdom to choose the devils he knows over the devils he doesn't.

That's just a rich dude hedging his bets like he does every election.

The latest CBS News survey not only shows Biden 4 points under water (in a contest where he needs to not just win but win by at least 4 or 5 so that's really 8 or 9 points under) and a historically low approval rating not just for himself but for Presidents in general at this time in their terms, but also has a new question added about where people got their ideas of how well or badly the economy is going. 85% said their own experience, 72% said people they personally know, 70% said "businesses in their community", and 66% said "national data". Of course, it was already obvious that the "people are actually doing great, they just think it's bad because they hear it's bad for somebody else somewhere out there" excuse was utter nonsense all along, but at least now they've responded to it by getting some numbers that show what nonsense it is in yet another way.

Have no fear, though; Biden has the solution. According to MSNBC, He has finally enlisted the help of the party's wisest and most insightful & successful advisor, the paragon of phenomenal political acumen: Hillary Clinton. Nobody could ever more thoroughly have their finger on the pulse of the people than this team-up of political superpowers! We're saved!
