It doesn't really matter if they're getting benefits or not if a lot of people think they are. To them, it's a fact. Of course, you can try arguing with them, but trust me, it's a waste of time.

For the most part the polls were about right.

For what's it;s worth, the news channels talk shows have been blasting the polls for being inaccurate and using bad polling techniques,

Nothing new. The Great Lake States have gotten the nickname "The Rust Belt
becuase of the closing of factories, In some cases, they have moved to other states where expenses are not so great. You save alot of money if the winters are milder as they are in the West and the South.

Easy time? I can't speak for where you live, specifically, of course, but I'd think that the far more general sentiment is more that they should be treated with decency and shouldn't be in a position that encourages exploitation by unscrupulous employers that often had a major role in why they came in the first place or in a condition that would make it likely that they'd commit crimes that actually do harm to others, with all the fallout from that, which could easily end up costing far more.

How is being able to pay the same rate for in-state college tuition in the state they graduated secondary school somehow a "benefit"?

"Other than WIC, unauthorized immigrants are generally ineligible for federally funded supports except for emergency Medicaid, primary and preventive health care at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), free/reduced school lunch, and short-term access to shelters and soup kitchens in emergency situations."

Note these are emergency situations that every human being should be provided, not benefits given on a regular basis which is a lie that MAGA perpetuates.

After all, if I don't need proof, I could say they get free stock in Amazon, planes, cars, gas, clothes, maids, butlers, and a thousand room mansion, but that wouldn't make it true.

Interesting: Last night on the news networks most of the GOPers they interviwed on Trump's agenda were cautious about the deportations; They said illegals should be deported but added it needed to be done according tothe law and in a 'humaine" manner; I thnk they were trying to caution
TRump about a repeat of the famalies fiasco back in 2018. KNowing Trump, he will double down and make it even more cruel.
 
The visuals on the mass deportations are going to be horrendous and might make the USA a pariah in the eyse of the world.
But then, I think that outside world had no real meaning to the MAGAS.
