Springfield is facing a third straight day of bomb threats forcing evacuation. Thursday and Friday it was schools and city government offices being targeted, but it's now the weekend and those locations are closed, so today's bomb threats were directed at local medical facilities instead. The facilities had to be evacuated and swept for bombs by police teams.

Again to stress, this disruption of the day-to-day civil functioning of the city of Springfield is retaliation for city officials' public statements that there have been no cases whatsoever of local pets being kidnapped and eaten by Haitian immigrants. Those simple statements of fact contradicted Donald Trump's assertions, making them an act of disloyalty that some obviously feel is deserving of punishment.

The odds?

If the threats against the medical facilities were made due to some other motive, like performing abortion care, they'd likely say so in order to differentiate them from those related to the false "eating pets" lie threats earlier in the week.
