That was what he just said after it came out that he sent her some nasty text messages and she stopped sending him cash apparently.

Not if he keeps on attacking vets.

  • “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured.”
  • 'uckers and losers.'
    [*]Disparaging Gold Star families.
[*]“Look, I don’t want any wounded guys in the parade. This doesn’t look good for me.”
[*]Not wanting to visit a WWI cemetery because of a little rain.

But you think the thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of vets, not to mention active service members, who still, after all that, worship the man are going to stop if he "attacks" them some more?

That's, like, fake news, man.

"But how can X still vote for Trump after he said?" can be asked of women, Hispanics, the state of Iowa.... The question is not new.

I'll see if there are any new numbers but in 2020 Trumps support was shockingly low among military and vets for a Republican President.

I suspect it is the inflation that is hurting the Dems in hte econ ratings.

Fox says that blaming corporations, often a near monopoly in some category, won't help. Because voters do not understand this concept?
Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to roll out her economic plan Friday during a speech in Raleigh, North Carolina. Early indications are it will have a progressive populist thrust, including attacks on corporate "price gouging," which conservative critics say is a smokescreen to deflect from the Biden-Harris administration's handling of inflation.

Michael Tyler, the Harris-Walz campaign communications director, said on CNN's "Newsroom" Wednesday that Americans "can expect her to talk about the ways in which she wants to move this economy forward and lower costs for middle-class families," noting Harris "understands that for too many families, prices remain too high." Additionally, this week, the campaign insisted tackling inflation will be a "day one" priority.

In advance of Harris' first formal policy speech of her presidential campaign Friday, her team announced Harris plans to call for first-of-its-kind federal controls on food and grocery "price gouging" by corporations.

That's, like, fake news, man.

“That’s fake news and quotes made up by liberals!”
“It’s actually quotes from his staff members.”
“Yeah, the useless and bitter ones who only fetched coffee!”
“Uh, no it was from major secretarial positions like state, defense…”
“They were just bitter because Trump was so great!”
“Trump hired them right?”
“Yeah, so?”
“The very best people?”
“No, they were obviously the worst”
“Yet Trump hired them”
“How could he have known?!”
“Golly.”

The vast majority of people are tuned out of politics. Frankly, I envy them.

That leaves them more open to being influenced by favorable exposure like ad campaigns, softball interviews, and rallies.

And Republican messaging is so easy. It's all fear and threat of loss.

I don't get it. This is the sort of populist proposal which I think voters easily relate to. Include the oil companies please.

You'd be surprised how difficult the idea that "the people with all the money and power are the ones screwing the rest of us over" can be to grasp.

Part of it is the whole "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" bit.

No. I don’t get why they still support him, even though he scorns their service. I don’t understand how they let this slide. I’m a veteran.

Real talk?

Because being insulted is still better than "Oh you're just a poor uneducated lower class victim that the big evil military industrial complex preyed on because you were too stupid to get into college, it's not your fault" pandering.

Neither side has a healthy relationship with being in the military.

Only one side denigrates the sacrifices made by our troops.

Every country seems to be suffering from inflation, and they all blame their own government if they didn't vote for them.

Basic fact of political life; ANy party in power will get the blame for what happens in the economy. when they are in charge, even if it was not their fault.
of course it works both ways;Thye credit for a good economy thought they might have little to do with it.

I used to read John Ringo, specifically a science fiction series that started before he completely lost his mind and paralleled his downward spiral.
At one point, liberal politicians actively sabotaged Earth's defense against an invading army of vicious flesh-eating aliens because they were so violently opposed to the mere thought of the military being allowed to do something that would make them look good that they were willing to risk the survival of Humanity.
That is how some people view the world - Democrats and Liberals hate the military and would destroy it if they could.

(Of course, this is the same series that had evil alien Space-Jew bankers plotting to enslave Humanity through their manipulative financial practices. John Ringo, everyone. Give him a round of applause.)
