They were showing Trump leading for a long time, so it appears they're not right-biased.

All the legitimate poll aggregators were showing Trump ahead of Biden, because he was. 538 has shown Harris ahead of Trump ever since Biden dropped out the race, in contrast to Real Clear Politics' and Nate Silver's polling average, both of which showed Trump leading until less than a week ago. That, along with this, suggests to me that 538 may have a pro-Democratic bias.

Either way, Nate Silver, like 538, shows Harris ahead by 2.1%.

Yes, that seems to be the most reliable estimate, and the Economist polling average agrees (Harris ahead by 2.2%)

Saw another Trump ad. Would have thought it was an attack ad on Trump if I hadn't seen the scroll at the top if the ad. Skipped most of it since it was on youtube but I got the gist.

Anyway, they announce....Ronald Reagan! And yes its Reagan and his 1984 speech where he asked if you were better off today than you were 4 years ago....

Yeah....4 years ago we were watching Trump fumble the pandemic response and make an ass of himself on daily news conferences while the economy crumbled. Oh, and Trump's gleefull embracing of violent police racism led to the BLM protests.

Maybe there was some twist later on in the ad after I hit skip but it seems a lot like when Trump would show things that happened under his administration and say they would happen under Biden's Presidency.

I notice all our local campaign ads have looped right back to "Vote for me because Trump loves me and I'm a Trumper and here's a picture of me shaking Trump's hand" after nobody mentioned him in the 2022 elections.

Good rant from Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC about the media's double standard.

"The true measure of the strength of a leader is not based on who you beat down, it's based on who you lift up." That needs a little pruning, I think, but as an illustration of the difference between Trump's attitude, his whole persona, and Harris, it's pretty hard to beat.

I'd bet, though, that some Magat somewhere is working on taking that "We love the collective!" (as in "collective bargaining") out of context to read "Kamala admits she's a Commie!"

“I haven’t recalibrated strategy at all. It’s the same policies: open borders, weak on crime. I think she’s worse than Biden,” Trump said. “Because he got forced into the position. She was there long before.”

Asked about his light campaign schedule, Trump dismissed the question as “stupid” before saying that he’s been busy taping commercials, talking on his phone, the radio and on television programs.

His forays into more mainstream criticisms of Harris and the state of the country under President Joe Biden struck some familiar, if occasionally head-scratching, lines of attack.

“Now you have millions and millions of dead people, and you have people dying financially because they can’t buy bacon, they can’t buy food, they can’t buy groceries,” Trump said of Americans. “They can’t do anything. They’re living horribly in our country.”

He doesn't have any money to put his commercials on TV or on the radio.

Harris has so much money she's running campaign commercials in friggin Indiana.

Now the stupid orange **** is claiming he was in a helicopter with Willie Brown that made an emergency landing. Only thing is, the dumb bastard has never been in a helicopter with Willie Brown. Could he maybe stick with just being a sick perv instead of a complete weirdo?

I read that he could be confusing a ride he took with Willie's doppleganger Governor Jerry Brown:D. Of course, there was no emergency landing in that instance either, according to Jerry and Gavin Newsom. It was during the fires in 2018.

Or, in keeping with multiple Republican traditions, next thing we'll get is Trump plagiarizing Reagan's lies about his war service. Marching through the jungle with bone spurs was difficult. Not many people know that.

With Trump's failing brain he'd try to plagiarize Reagan's life and get the wrong thing and start telling people he raised a chimpanzee with Diana Lynn. And that chimpanzee grew up to be Eric Trump, and now you know the rest of the story.

It's so apparent too. The right wing constantly beats up on the media, that's why they act this way. They keep taking the right wing accusation of "libral media" seriously. They need to just stop giving the GOP deference.

I have no doubt that the bullets have him running scared and unwilling to have another open air rally.

But that means that now he's learning how much a properly located, sized and secured venue costs.

My guess is that he is spending most of his time trying to negotiate a cheap deal.
