2018 mid-term election

As someone tweeted earlier today

"I can’t believe this.
I tested it out myself.

I just went into a grocery store and bought cereal. I insisted they ID me.
I left, went to the car, changed my clothes, put on a hat.
Went back in and bought more cereal.

THEY DIDN’T ASK FOR ID."

Desantis has officially taken Florida and Kemp has officially taken Georgia which I think only leaves the the Florida Senate recount and a run-off election in Mississippi.

Yeah, but it was just Corn Flakes. Try that stunt with Raisin Bran and see what happens.

Minor SNL character Pete Davidson made a joke about Crenshaw on Weekend Update that didn't sit well with anyone. The next week, he apologized and then Crenshaw came on to mock Davidson.

I saw the original skit and thought that it wasn't all that insulting to Crenshaw. He even made a comment about how it might be wrong to say it. Then he made fun of himself. He made fun of liberals too. For some reason, the media didn't get all upset about that.

Er.. Do you realise that illegal immigrants can't vote?
The ignorance of non-Americans knowledge of US politics is appalling. What's even more appalling is they feel privileged enough to lecture Americans on US politics. Reading ISF posts is absolute cringe.

"Non-citizen votes likely gave Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress."

Funny how those two go together.

Gee I wonder if that's why the Dems here want illegal aliens voting, porous borders and sanctuary cities? Almost seems like some sort of plan, hmmm.

Thanks for clearing that up. I mean they sure seem insistent on bringing illegals here - it makes total sense now.
Citation needed. Seriously, you sound like Trump. Go ahead and cite even ONE dem here who has stated a desire for any of those things. I'll wait.

What the hell are you talking about? Plenty of people said things like that. Travis thinks the US should have open border because illegal aliens bring "ideas" (he actually did say this). I don't remember who but I've seen posts defending sanctuary cities. As for illegal aliens voting, many here would love that because they vote for the same party.

Non-citizen =/= illegal immigrant.

Quick Google search, there are probably problems with your chosen paper Baylor. And even if it were 100% accurate (unlikely in the extreme) Hilary would still have won the popular vote in the 2016 election by more than 2 million votes. So kudos, you have improved, not an epic fail this time, just a plain old ordinary fail that 2 mins on the web would have prevented.

No, you just frantically Googled something trying to prove me wrong. The paper proved legal residents and illegal aliens do vote in US elections. The 2016 popular vote is irrelevant and there was no point for you to even bring it up.

I highly doubt that even one of the 60 Senators that voted to pass health care reform was a non-citizen.

Getting upset about political ignorance with lips affixed to the arse of a president who would fail a junior high civics exam.

Show some decency! Dont you know that once you build a straw man, you need to dress it. You can't just leave it standing naked like that, in a state of obviousness.

Why do you people insist on assuming that governing is about binary choices? It's possible to want to control our borders and enforce our immigration laws humanely.

Of those people who oppose Trump, who has said they want open borders besides Bob?
