Thought I would get the next debate thread started.

The topics for the third presidential debate (Oct 19) have been announced, to be moderated by Chris Wallace.

1. Debt and entitlements
2. Immigration
3. The economy
4. The Supreme Court
5. Foreign hot spots
6. The candidates’ fitness to be president

Please, please, PLEASE tell Mr Wallace not to bring up any of the "sex stuff", or, if it's a Town Hall, let any of the audience do so. And eliminate item six.

All I've heard about the format is that it is the moderator and the candidates seated at a table. Wallace is coming up with the questions.

Agreed. Including #6 will make things painfully uncomfortable. I chose to watch Debate 2 and just felt filthy afterward.

I agree that #6 is not a good question. I wish that the debate moderators would ask about the environment.

Donald has already switched to closing this thing out with a strategy co-opted from InfoWars. It's going to be ugly and then we'll hear something other than the sniffling. He'll probably try to have a séance on stage to summon the ghost of Vince Foster to accuse the Clintons of murder.

This debate should just be Dateline's Chris Hansen walking out to the stage and telling Donald to have a seat.

...snip...

At last a topic in which Trump is an expert, if anyone knows about debt and entitlement it's Trump.

Bump 'cuz some of us are inadvertently still posting in the Debate II thread. (Foolmewunz sheepishly raises hand.)

Donnie's suffering from Math Deprivation Saturday Syndrome, poor thing. He's got two appearances Saturday - Portsmouth NH and Bangor ME. They do have more than there share of crazies in both - all the FoTL types in NH and LePage in Maine, but has anyone showed him the math?

Pssst, Donnie.... both states are a COMBINED, that's combined 7 EC votes. Is this making up for Virginia (13) or Pennsylvania (20)? That's where you need to spend your time/money.

Sunday off. (Meeting with Satan under Grant's Tomb but I've said too much.)

Monday - Green Bay, WI
Tuesday - Colorado Springs, CO
Both wastes of time/money. He's lost both states, already.

All of them are wastes of time. He should be prepping for the debate. If he thinks his crazy crap from the rallies the past week is going to win the debate he's madder than a March Hare.

Pence? Ohio on Monday... two stops. Nothing else on the schedule. Has Pence had it? Is he just putting in symbolic hours and giving lip service to interviewers when he has to?

Why do I picture this with all of the appropriate Star Trek fight music?

Trump is already playing a different game. His "campaign" at this point is free advertisement for Trump TV. He doesn't want electoral college votes, he wants an army of loyal deplorables.

Pence is phoning it in, trying to ride it out and keep what's left of his career intact.

I keep wondering if they're keeping Pence "in reserve". Donald's going to rely on whatever stupid he says today to make the Sunday talk-news but he's not about to go on for interviews (has he even been to Fox since the named accusations started breaking?), so maybe Pence will do the network talks tomorrow morning?

In the past when you saw gaps in his schedule, they'd wheel him through Wheeling or walk him to Waukesha to plug gaps. OTOH, with the polls, he may have to stay home to solidify Home Again in Indiana.

I see that the mods for the debates are following one of the basic rules of show biz;Save the best for the final act.....
