2016 Presidential Debate III

Trump will ignore questions and the mods, spew vitrioloc abuse of his accusers and Clinton, refuse to shut up, and when security are called will storm off in righteous fury.

While outside, armed supporters stand and stare through the windows.

The only excuse for Trump to not show up would be if he held a massive event somewhere else, and made sure he had good media coverage and live TV slot.
I'm not aware of any preparation along those lines.

Or maybe he will collapse on stage, a la Howard Beale in "Network".

If Chris Wallace has any cred as a journalist his opening question really has to be:

"To Mr. Trump: In the first debate, less than one month ago you were asked, as was Secretary Clinton, if you would support the results of this presidential election. To which, you responded in the affirmative. Do you still maintain that position?"

Is a third debate really needed?

Yes. The SNL skits have been very good this year!

Plus, it's the final milepost. After the third debate we're down to just twenty days of this torture. I can't even ratchet up any enthusiasm for watching Trump's spokesliars pivot every interview to Clinton Monica Sex Juanita Sex Jennifer. Three solid weeks of this crap is enough.
> Donald has a rally
> Donald says something stupid
> Giuliani digs deeper in the abyss
> Spokesliars spin all questions to Bill's ancient history
> Donad returns to his cocoon, sucks his thumb and tweets
> Repeat next day, as above.

He won't show up for interviews, won't hold a press conference and "I wonder what whacky **** Trump will do today" is worn out.

I called this back before the conventions. When you are the source material for every comedy writer in America, it's over. You can be anything in politics... just not a laughing stock. It's now just all coming together but watching the Democrats beat the twitching body until it stops moving is not terribly exciting. These next three weeks can't pass quickly enough.

The last topic, "Ftiness for the presidency", that is going to produce the fireworks. And the people putting on the debates damn well know that.

Please, please, PLEASE tell Mr Wallace not to bring up any of the "sex stuff", or, if it's a Town Hall, let any of the audience do so. And eliminate item six.
Wallace won't have to bring it up, I'll bet you Donald does that all by himself

All I've heard about the format is that it is the moderator and the candidates seated at a table. Wallace is coming up with the questions.
Will Trump try to roll around behind Clinton?

Bump 'cuz some of us are inadvertently still posting in the Debate II thread. (Foolmewunz sheepishly raises hand.)

Donnie's suffering from Math Deprivation Saturday Syndrome, poor thing. He's got two appearances Saturday - Portsmouth NH and Bangor ME. They do have more than there share of crazies in both - all the FoTL types in NH and LePage in Maine, but has anyone showed him the math?

Pssst, Donnie.... both states are a COMBINED, that's combined 7 EC votes. Is this making up for Virginia (13) or Pennsylvania (20)? That's where you need to spend your time/money.

Sunday off. (Meeting with Satan under Grant's Tomb but I've said too much.)

Monday - Green Bay, WI
Tuesday - Colorado Springs, CO
Both wastes of time/money. He's lost both states, already.

All of them are wastes of time. He should be prepping for the debate. If he thinks his crazy crap from the rallies the past week is going to win the debate he's madder than a March Hare.

Pence? Ohio on Monday... two stops. Nothing else on the schedule. Has Pence had it? Is he just putting in symbolic hours and giving lip service to interviewers when he has to?
Trump has never understood that drawing large, fervent crowds doesn't always translate to a large numbers of voters at election time. He sees yuge crowds and therefore has visible proof that the polls must be wrong. He outdraws all the other candidates so he must be winning.

He simply doesn't understand that the fervent percentage for any candidate is not a majority. He's a businessman and a TV personality and in both those arenas, if you get 25% of the audience you are an overwhelming hit. In politics, that's the wrong end of a landslide.

What is the probability Trump will be a no show or back out?

One betting market has Trump at 98% chance he will show.
I think he will show because he cannot turn down free airtime. CapelDodger has already inferred the most likely plan:

Trump will ignore questions and the mods, spew vitrioloc abuse of his accusers and Clinton, refuse to shut up, and when security are called will storm off in righteous fury.

While outside, armed supporters stand and stare through the windows.

You wanna see him both go crazy and spend a massive amount of money? The media should start cutting-in when he makes those claims, kinda like Anderson Cooper did when Kellyanne was trying to spin "How come she isn't leading by more? Huh? Tell me that!" Coop just kept saying "your candidate is under forty per cent" and "your candidate is losing". Totally flummoxed her.

Donald: How can anyone think I'm losing. I've got the biggest crowds, I...
Interviewer: Obama drew four times your largest rally.
Donald:.... more crowds than anyone, there are thousands waiting to get in...
Interviewer: Obama 120,000 St. Louis 2008.

When he gets that he's being challenged and that it's Hated Obama he's running a distant second to, he will:
Double down on the biggest crowds nonsense.
Saying he's not really trying to stage big rallies.
Double down again on the biggest crowds mantra.
Immediately get off stage and get his pet miscreants working on creating a bigger better rally than Obama had. Which is impossible because he stays outside of big cities and there ain't no way he's going to be able to paper the house with 100,000 in Raleigh or Tallahassee.
They'd spend a million and still fail.

Questions we'll never see but would make for a great debate:

> Mr. Trump. Is English your first language? If you mean one thing, like "the media is against me", why do you say, "the election is rigged/voter fraud"? Or are you saying that your spokespersons are lying and that you really think the that the election, as such, is rigged, in the sense that it doesn't matter how many votes you get, they will be taken away to give the election to Secretary Clinton?

The Orange Menace is bringing President Obama's half brother to the debate.
