"Republican candidate Rand Paul will win the Kentucky Senate race to score the first major victory of the night for the Tea Party movement, according to ABC News exit-poll projections. "

"The Tea Party also nabbed major victories in Indiana, where ABC News projects Dan Coats will defeat Democrat Rep. Brad Ellsworth, and in South Carolina, where incumbent Sen. Jim DeMint will win another term."

Checking Indianapolis Star front page:
Coats (R) wins Senate seat (lobbyist, 2 previous terms before that)
Burton (R) re-elected to House seat (15th term)
Pence (R) re-elected to House seat (6th term)

That hopey and changey stuff. Aye? The Tea Baggers really shook things up.

I'm sure I'll be more interested after all the votes have been counted & certified. Until then, just more media noise.

Republican Marco Rubio is projected to win the Florida Senate race by a wide margin.

Yes, an important win for the Dems.

Here in Oregon, I fully expect Ron Wyden to cruise to victory. But the governors race is a dead heat and I've been expecting Dudley to win for months. It'd be surprising to me if Kitzhaber held on.

So far no real surprises.

Dems need 6 more to keep control of the Senate.

Looks like they will take Illinois, Pennsylvania and Schumer's seat in NY. Leaves 3 more.

Boxer will probably win, that leaves the magic number at 2.
