Merged 10th anniversary 9/11 documentaries/ TV

Tonight on BBC3 @9:00pm we have this.....

However, I do object to this since the five in question are in no way a representative sample of the 'truth' movement. Three of them are female.

:D

Also, it clashes with both Torchwood and The Killing, so I won't be watching!

ETA2: I take that back, as it only conflicts with Torchwood since the next episode of The Killing is on at 10:00pm. So, Torchwood it is then.

Must catch this. One of them will be Charlie Veitch who apparently 'changed his mind' and now thinks that WTC7 was a natural collapse frpm fire as well as all the other government fairy tales..

WTC 7 did collapse from fire. Nothing you or any of your kind have presented even hints at a different plausible explanation. Nor will you ever present any evidence of the sort.

That's sad. Get a new hobby.

I wonder if CBS will rebroadcast the Naudet Brothers "9/11" film on the 10th anniversary.

I heard an interview with the Naudet brothers the other day on CBC radio. From what I gather, they've updated their documentary and the new version will be televised (8 p.m. Sunday evening, according to CBS' schedule page). The added portion involves re-interviewing some of the people they followed that day to see how their lives have changed over the intervening ten years.

You can find the show's web page here.

Twoofer anthony "oranges" lawson has released a 9.11 minutes video
'the legend of 9/11-10 years on' showing how ignorant he is.

what complete tripe!

we don't know anything about the aircraft???? We know everything about the planes...makers, owner, type, passengers and crew on them, where they took off, where they flew, when they impacted...........etc etc ........what on earth is he talking about?
It was pointless making it last 9.11 minutes if most people stop watching after 30 seconds!

Yeah thats the main program I want to see on Sunday. I plan to visit the new WTC in 2014 when its all finished and what the terrorists did has been shown to be utterly futile. I'll go to the top of the new tower and inwardly give them the two fingered (I'm a Brit) salute.

I will HIGHLY recommend people watch the remake of 9/11. From what I understand, it's very moving.

Yeah I guess the only bummer here, is I'll still be out of the USA on September 11th. I'll see if someone at home will DVR it so I can watch it when I get home on the 16th.

I watched Conspiracy Road Trip, I respected Charlie by the end. Actually going to the places it happened, speaking to people who were there... puts things in perspective. He admitted he was wrong, the experience made him realize.

When the group met Mark Bingham's mother at the Shanksville site, some of them were very emotional. They were realizing the human tragedy of it all, seeing it up close.

Truthers are far removed from all this, sitting in front of a monitor watching youtube videos and JAQing off in forums. This is easy to do, but faced with a situation like standing at the site with a victim's mother some were oddly quiet.

I wonder bill, have you ever visited one the locations? met anyone who was there or lost a loved one? I doubt it, truthers only involve themselves in such things if they can use those people to twist their experiences into supporting their fantasies.

I watched it too. Charlie was gotten to. Nobody can believe that the WTC7 collapse was a CD and then change their mind. It's just plain impossible.

Alice Hoagland seemed like a nice woman I must say though her reason for why her son said 'Hi Mom, it's Mark Bingham' when he called her from the plane was not quite the same as the reason I first heard her give a number of years ago. She said then that it was just a little thing he would do..a kind of joke.

I'd like to have been there myself actually in the place of one of the selected Truthers who were on the read trip.'. I might have had a few questions myself that they didn't think of.

This sounds exactly what the Slate article said:

Slate Article - You're Not Paranoid if It's True said:
This relatively mild renunciation by a relatively minor advocate of 9/11 conspiracy theories was treated as major news in the conspiracy community. Veitch received threatening phone calls and emails. Donations to his site dried up. He was accused of having taken a payoff from the BBC, of having been subject to mind control by "neuro-linguistic programming experts," of being under hypnosis by British illusionist Derren Brown, and of being a Sunstein-sent cognitive infiltrator.

What a bunch of horse hockey. According to Bill and the rest of the Truthers, apostasy shall result in public humiliation or accusations of mind control by the conspirators, or he was a plant from the beginning. "He can't possibly believe those things!" That's absolute hogwash! As Dylan Avery said in the same article:
Dylan Avery said:
"Maybe he just changed his mind," Avery said, referring to the Veitch hysteria. "I mean, people change their minds"

I cannot wait to view the BBC documentary for myself. I have quite a bit of 9/11 anniversary documentaries in my "queue" so to speak.

Really bill, some people do just change their minds. Specifically they LEARN something, which you never will.

Hmm I'm sure Alice would be very surprised to hear you say her son never died or never even existed. I'd love to see this strong brave woman put you in your place.

Well Dash, they say that you must speculate to accumulate.

So what is it you accumulate bill? I'm not supporting the use of violence, but if you were face-to-face with these people you'd probably accumulate a few slaps in the mouth. Not that I think you'd have to guts to face up to them, I highly doubt you would. Spewing crap on the internet is easy and anyone can do it, perhaps like a couple on the road trip show you'd suddenly have nothing much to say.

I wouldn't particularly want to be dropped into a highly charged emotional situation like that. It's hard to be a somewhat dispassionate researcher under those conditions. Fortunately I can be a somewhat dispasionate researcher on the internet.

it wouldn't be an emotionally charged situation until you started flapping your gums.

Sit there, listen and learn and you'll be fine.

Do you mean Rising! on the Discovery Channel?

No, he means the documentary 9-11 made by the Naudet brothers from video that they shot that day. Rising is almost completely about the rebuilding with just a small amount of it spent on the actual attacks and collapses. I think that as a whole work Rising is intended as being about looking forward and putting to past the rest.

Is it going to be on TV in the States or is it only online?
