Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.
I am pleased to announce that my long-awaited, long-delayed, long-promised, and simply long review of Dr. David Ray Griffin's book, Debunking 9/11 Debunking, is finally ready for public consumption. My review is restricted to his chapter criticizing the NIST report and outlining his case for...
I was reading, as I am occasionally wont to do, over at the Screw Loose Change blog and I came across a post there, wherein a truther was making this oft-heard claim:
Which we hear quite a bit, and I know we've timed it and we know it's not accurate. It's one of those long-debunked staples of...
I realised this has been discussed before but this audio is a full radio show with the Attorney who filed the petition. I thought it might be instructive to hear what he has to say without all the lies and diversionary tactics thrown at it by pseudoskeptics...
In the NIST preliminary report on the WTC7 collapse, as well as in the FEMA report, a paper by John J. Salvarinas is cited as a reference. Does anyone know where I can find it or can help locate it?
Any help in locating this paper would be highly appreciated.
Not sure if anyone noticed that NIST released a status update for the WTC7 collapse investigation.

They expect to release a draft report for public comment by the end of the year.
It is troubling that NIST, by their own admission, only tested approximately 1% of the Twin Tower beams, from the fire affected areas, for high temperature effects. Since the beams were identifiable, from their stamped on numbers, one could determine their location in the buildings and have...
I have been casually debating on the Loose Change forums for quite a while now and I have encountered only 2 claims that appeared to have serious merit initially. These are:
Miragememories' claim that 590mph is far too fast for the more severe estimate of impact (sourced from articles I am not...
Right, having hit 15 posts, I can finally ask the question I joined this forum to ask.
I've been having a discussion over at ATS about this image.
The suggestion was that NIST had manipulated its photograph (left) to give the impression of greater damage.
As the thread developed, it was...
Consider this hypothetical scenario:
A decision has been made to bring a WTC-type tower down in a controlled manner. The reasons are legitimate and irrelevant.
Time is taken to prepare the building in the proper way and the site is evacuated in advance.
If all of the core columns were blown...
An update on what was once the Willie Rodriguez thread at the LC site:
I commented that NIST's comprehensive report on WTC 7 is due early this summer, and when it is released, fantasists will reject it without reading it. Dylan assured me that his side will "poke holes in it," as they did...
Meh I stayed up "late" today thinking about some things...
I haven't had time to mine reports for a single timeline as I said I would.. so instead...
I stuck up with Greening's topic line "What debate?" from a few weeks ago and come up with the following rant...

There's nothing to...
Hi!
This guy managed to get some of the SAP2000 models from NIST, for a reasonable fee of $58. They are downloadable from that address.
Havent seen this posted before, and apparenly this guy received it late april this year (last week really). Now all the truther-movement has do to is cough...
For all those NISTians who keep screaming there's no case for challenging the integrity of the NIST Report on WTC 1 & 2, I suggest you read this and debunk it objectively!

Has this been dealt with somewhere here? (In this context that is)

I remember seeing a few of them here, but cant seem to find them (For instance point #3 "#3. Their computer simulations used exaggerated data.[9]").
Cheers,

At the present time there are THREE main theories that claim to explain the collapse of WTC 1 & 2:
1. The “official theory”: The collapse events were natural, gravitationally driven, processes that were brought on by localized damage caused by the aircraft impacts and subsequent fires.
2. Dr...
It's been a while since I showed up on a Saturday at GZ. In December, Gravy and I showed up and took some video, trying to find out if the troofers even know what the official story is that they are questioning. One we spoke with hadn't even heard of NIST.
See the video...
I can't find it on JREF so maybe it hasn't been addressed but I was wondering if there is a full list of the scientists/engineers that worked on NIST because on Digg.com people often post about scholars for 9/11 twoof and only about five of them have a B.A. in Physics or some related field (0...
Morgan Reynolds has filed a Request For Corrections against NIST, with respect to NISTs assumption that planes hit the twin towers.
Link to PDF
Reynolds argues that the videos of the plane strike on WTC2 show no damage and no deceleration. A real aluminum plane would be crushed hitting a steel...
A couple of threads over the past few days made me finally realize something. Maybe this is old news to most (or all) of you, but it hit home for me.
Anyway, one of the inspirations for this is Morgan Reynolds's "request for correction", arguing that the impact of the planes, and the...
It's been a long time since I last posted. 'Just wanted to refresh my CT habits a little for once
Anyway, this is an opinion-type thread. I want you all to give me your opinion on whether you think the US Govt has taken enough time to prove 9/11 was carried by Al-Qaeda, plus the building...
I don't believe in the controlled demolition theory, but I am constantly puzzled by the skeptics denial that the towers fell essentially in freefall. It appears to be another case of just refuting truthers arguments simply because they are truthers.
NIST themselves admit this in Section 6.14.4...
because I saw he posted the part below:
"NIST’s findings do not support the “pancake theory” of collapse, which is premised on a progressive failure of the floor systems in the WTC towers (the composite floor system—that connected the core columns and the perimeter columns—consisted of a...
Hi!
Just a short q: anyone know when the WTC7-report is due? I seem to remember it was due sometime fall 2007, does anyone have a more precise estimate (or has there been any reports on the progress?)?
Cheers,

I'm glad to find that another engineer is among the ranks. I was hoping you'd be willing to discuss some of your objections to the NIST report. I recall you saying that you didn't find it "convincing" enough...
So I was watching Kevin Ryan's comments on the allegation that the plane could have had the same effect on the steel insulation at the WTC Twin Towers. I have used the search function and sadly haven't been able to find any rebuttal against this argument, besides ad hominem on Kevin. My question...
This is a challenge to the 9/11 truthers. Since the accepted version of events on 9/11 are available in the 9/11 Commission Report and the NIST publications, I'd like to hear your version of events.
This is not the thread to question the accepted version. Instead, simply provide the basics -...
Gold's site, 911blogger.com, has a new thread entitled "Ghosts of the Firemen." Spectral images of firefighters haunting Bush ignore the reality that the heroes of 9/11 despise the conspiracy liars. Here is an exchange with a loon who uses REAL SCIENCE to batter poor lil' me:
Ronald Weick...
Not sure if we have addressed these comments. They seem kind of vague and spueing of the CTer line on 9/11. I would have expected a more technical rebuttal, a more sophisticated and jargon filled reply given his qualifications, and how important his opinion in this regard would be to their...
The so-called Journal of 9/11 Studies, which as far as I know has split from the "Scholars" has come out with a paper criticizing NIST. I have never heard of the author, Eric Douglas. Apparently he is an architect, but I have no idea as to his credentials. They have an entire website...
