Did Darwin plagiarize his theory of evolution?
Charles Darwin is accused of stealing Theory of Evolution from rival naturalist in history's biggest science fraud
On the other hand, it's in The Daily Fail.
You don't have to convince me of the power of literacy. In my life I've profited from being literate, and even enjoyed the odd book for recreation. I currently have a reading list that I'm making my way through, albeit slowly, due to other demands of life.
However, I was given a copy of...
I just realized Creationists/IDers had a conflict in the claims they make:
1) Microevolution (improvement withing a kind) happens.
2) Macroevolution (development into new kinds) doesn't happen.
3) Darwin, and evolution, were responsible for the Nazi holocaust.
The Nazi's, with their policy of...
The other day I was on the subway and this very brutish black woman got on the train. Her size and her demeanor really seemed "apelike" to me. I was shocked that this thought so casually skipped through my mind. I certainly don't like that it did and of course it was racist. I apologize...
[There doesn't seem to be any actual science in this book so I started the thread in R&P rather than SMM&T]
"Dr" Jerry Bergman has written a new book entitled The Dark Side of Charles Darwin. In doing so he appears to have finally given up an any attempt to maintain touch with reality...
Hey all, I didn't think that this would make a good thread topic cause my videos are sooo freaking crappy but they're actually getting popular so I figured they have at least some redeeming qualities.
Anyways, on the 18th of this month RC and KC came to UCLA to hand out copies of Darwin's...
I'm no scientist. I'm an artist. And while this article seems enlightened to me, I'm not sure about what's being said about Darwin.

From the article: "Joan Roughgarden thinks Charles Darwin made a terrible mistake. Not about...
Creationist, and Kirk Cameron sidekick, Ray Comfort is giving away 100,000 copies of Charles Darwin's Origins of Species at schools around the United States in November 2009. But a few important details:
1) Comfort's version of Origins is incomplete. Comfort's first pressing excludes four...
Hey All,
I'm not cool enough to be a member of facebook. I have a friend who IS cool enough, but he's not cool enough to post URLs here, yet.
So I'm posting this link to his facebook page about the new Darwin Biopic.
Enjoy,
Ward
P.S. Here's the link...
The people at Answers in Genesis are at it again...
Not only do they have a new intro tin Darwin's Origin of Species (that's the new, clipped title they've given it) telling you what's wrong with it, but have also can out with The Charles Darwin Bible, which includes (among other things), DNA...
I'm sorry...but, whenever I see one of these, I just *have* to share.
How can you pass up quotable gems like this?
(From the article)
The Creation Museum is the uncompromising vision of Australian-born evangelical Ken Ham, who aims to "expose the bankruptcy of evolutionary ideas" and "enable...
Einstein is probably the scientist that pops into most people's minds when they think about who is an important scientist/thinker.
Recently, many have called for Darwin's theory of Evolution to be considered the most important idea in science with ramifications for humanity in general.
And...

VATICAN CITY --
Over the next several months, the Vatican will sponsor academic conferences dedicated to the work of biologist Charles Darwin and astronomer...
As mentioned last month, Kent Hovind's appeal was denied recently so he will be spending all ten years of his sentence in prison. However that has not stopped him from posting his thoughts online. His most recent entry is a "conversation" between Kent, Charles Darwin, and God.
Hovind's writing...
NPR's Weekend Edition is doing a nice series on Darwin, his theory, and it's effects in honor of the bicentennial.
Fairly well done, the segments are available in streaming audio:

I'm currently part way through reading "The Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin. I was wondering if anybody could tell me on what points Darwin was wrong. That is, to what Darwin said, can modern science now say "Okay, he did a good job for the period, but that's not exactly right"?

Wonder what response this will get from the fundamentalists who are still nominally Church of England?
Be afraid St. Petersburg, Florida.
According to the leading candidate for the post of mayor, Darwin and evolution "fueled" Hitler and the Columbine massacre.

Is it just me, or is Senor Dick Dawkins a bit of an unforseen genetic diversion ;)
I'm sure he's a more than averagely intelligent sort of bloke, but everytime i've seen him on tv or youtube he's had the air of someone quite impressed by his own existence.
Anyone else feel the same?
From the Answers In Genesis website, I found this dilly of a historical overview of how women fared in Charles Darwin's thought:
The hypocritical 'Gotcha' quality of this article is what made me bring it back. As if Biblical ideas about the inferiority of women hadn't shaped Darwin's culture...
A new website with 5,000 letters by or to Charles Darwin (and another 9,000 in summary form) has gone online: Darwin Correspondence Project
See also this BBC news story.
Episteme Scientia by Samuel J Hunt, "a college student", claims his theory of sono-luminesence will be as earthshaking as Darwin's. Hunt says he can prove God spoke the world into existence.
My son tells me it's all over his discussion circles. The web site, scienceprovescreation, sells the...
Hey all, has anyone heard of this book? Apparently written by an atheist who 'believes in evolution' but disagrees with a lot of current wisdom?
I googled it but I can't find much on it - so it can't be all that popular.
