I have made a post about this before but I recently downloaded the video of national geographic's special Fight Science and it reminded me of the enigma Glen Levy.
I still see no way for a 5 foot 10 inch guy to generate more force with a hammerfist strike than a 200lb boxer can with any punch, than a pretty large tkd guy with their best spinning back kick or even those same guys with bats and crowbars.
Mathematically speaking I dont see how glen levy is moving more mass and moving it faster.
I am an amateur martial artist myself and the I understand rotation to maximize speed and I understand that powerful strikes come from a strong base. A kick with 1 foot still on the ground if performed right will always be stronger than a flying kick unless your being thrown from a jet to get the "flying" effect. I have read plenty more on martial arts even philosophical and mythical things along with tons of more realistic research analyzing technique.
Nothing that suggests what glen does should be possible and atleast not as easy as he makes it look.
If you havnt caught the video I really suggest you check it out especially if your a fan of martial arts as it is all very interesting. When you get done please come back here and reply to my post to explain how Glen Levy is doing what he is doing.
I would really like to understand because as a big martial arts fan its frustrating not to be able to explain it to someone else and even worse to not be able to figure it out yourself.
Thanks in advance to whichever genius on this forum reveals to me Levy's secrets!
