Apart from the part Sterling being white and racist, this turned out to be false. Sterling is neither a Democratic Party fundraiser nor an active supporter of the Democratic Party.

2. Based on an inaccurate and dishonest item at the Conservative Treehouse, you posted: "... Sterling is a rich Democratic fundraise[r], donor and supporter scheduled to get a life time achievement award from the NAACP ..."

Apart from the part about Sterling being rich and being scheduled at that time to receive an award from the LA branch of the NAACP, this turned out to be false: Sterling is not a Democratic Party fundraiser, not a Democratic Party supporter, and not a Democrat.

(Regarding the claim that Sterling is a Democratic donor: Sterling has in the past given donations to Bill Bradley, Patrick Leahy, and Gray Davis -- most of these dating back more than 20 years, but with one to Gray Davis 12 years ago. So one could truthfully say: More than a decade ago Sterling made a handful of donations to Democrats, but has not contributed anything to them since. But what you wrote implied he is a current Democratic donor. That's false.)

3. Based on an inaccurate and dishonest item at the Conservative Treehouse, you posted: "... Sterling is a rich white Dem racist."

Apart from Sterling being rich, white and racist, this turned out to be false; Sterling is a registered Republican, and has been for more than 15 years. The red was addressed 24 hours ago with no help but a big girl attitude.

I didn't read the post yet in which you acknowledged these errors on your part, but am glad you agree this is settled. I hope you will be more careful in the future about trusting sources such as The Conservative Treehouse and in echoing their propaganda without first verifying the accuracy of the claims for yourself.

Actually, we don't know what his party affiliation really is now cause we have seen no evidence of it, however, it appears that he has made small donations to Dems and perhaps some Pubs along with the NAACP and lots of tickets to the poor. I get and remember what we are both touting and time will tell. Nope, never said THIS was settled . If you have proof that Don is a Pub, I would love to see it. Does it really matter whether racist LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling is a registered Democrat? Or a Republican? Or a member of the Pirate Party of Russia?

Well, according to multiple conservative media outlets, yes, it does matter. On Sunday, National Review ran a blog post originally titled, "Racist Clippers Owner Donald Sterling Is a Democrat." The post breathlessly noted a handful of contributions he made in the early 1990s to Democratic politicians...

Not that Sterling's broader political views or party affiliation have much to do with the controversy over his insanely racist comments, but here's a news flash for those conservatives eager to bring up the topic: He's a Republican.

On Sunday, Michael Hiltzik, a Los Angeles Times columnist, tweeted that local voter records show Sterling to be a registered Republican "since 1998." We followed up on that, and a search of the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder's website for Sterling's name, date of birth, and address confirmed that he's registered as a Republican.

2.5 was the Maximum that an NBA owner can be fined.
Silver pretty much threw the book at Stirling,gave him the maximum that was in his power to do. And I strongly suspect the 3/4 vote to strip Stirling of his ownership and force him to sell is a done deal. None of the other owners want Stiling around;bad for business.

You keep saying this, but I presume you have a job and an employer? Why don't you try calling their best customer and saying disgusting things about their mother and let us know how it goes. I would expect that the private business that is the NBA can choose to cut ties with anyone they like, at will, no?

Failing that, I have this feeling that your real problem here is that you don't really think what he said was bad, so you're mad that he paid a price for it.
