Palin: 'Waterboarding Is How We Baptize Terrorists'

Apparently, people haven't been paying her enough attention, so she decided to go out and say some more bat-**** crazy stuff. What else is new?

For anybody who advocates waterboarding prisoners taken in the "war on terror", I'm just curious - if US soldiers are captured by these terrorist groups, would you object if the terrorists waterboarded them as part of their interrogation? And if so, on what basis?

McCain would disagree with water boarding under any circumstances. That's because he was a prisoner of war and all that. The fact that she can't grasp this simple concept (along with a majority of the GOP), is not surprising, given her demonstrated intellect.

FWIW, this is the thread I was searching for when I found the above quote of mine. If I had a time machine, I would love to link to this thread to that one back in 2008.

Ultimately, this is why "the Anti-Palin Effort Was So Desperate", or should have been.

The thread you linked to is why I have a hard time taking anything that OP says seriously.

She got seven million bucks for the first one.

Pundits can debate the political costs and benefits of Sarah Palin's decision to step down as Alaska governor, but the monetary advantages of leaving her $125,000-a-year public service post are beyond dispute. Since leaving office at the end of July 2009, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee has brought in at least 100 times her old salary...She reportedly got a $7 million deal for her first book, with the bulk of that money due after her resignation as governor... You betcha!

Considering that terrorists behead non-military personnel they capture, waterboarding would probably be a cakewalk for any soldiers they capture.

I'm sure. But the question wasn't about how terrorists DO treat captives, but how those who support waterboarding think they SHOULD.

Watch Iron Sky directors cut on netflix. They have a hilarious parody of Sarah Palin as president in it with racks of guns and taxidermy in the oval office. The movie is pretty decent also.

Also I do know a couple of conservatives that still think she's legit.

Killing an enemy and advocating torture for entertainment value are different.
I don't believe it is for entertainment value.
I personally am against both.
In one we are killing a person who through some means has been determined to be our enemy and innocent bystanders (collateral damage) both not on a battlefield or in a war.
In the torture case only the person who through some means has been determined to be our enemy is harmed.

Jon Stewart covered this story yesterday, and up till then I hadn't actually heard her words, only read them.

What stands out to me is that boy, she's lost it. Her timing is stilted and she doesn't have the nice delivery she had at the RNC in 2008.

The second is something else Stewart noticed, which is since when is the NRA all about gay marriage and Obamacare?

HUH?
