Moderated Donald Sterling, Owner of the Clippers, is Racist

I can't believe how pathetically you people derail these topics to your own pathetic partisan agendas.

Yeah, everybody! Don't be pathetically pathetic!

Caper was busy lecturing us on how we're all racist. He has Youtube videos and everything.

So pay attention, 'cause he's super-smart.

Sterling making Clive look good here. Thank G-d for the news cycle.

They look pretty bad from where I sit.

The notion that bad behavior by one excuses or mitigates the bad behavior by the other is nothing more than the logical fallacy known as tu quoque.

I don't think there really is any more "free speech" in this age of trial by the court of public opinion.

This age? Have you read any of the broadsheets from around the Revolutionary War period. Man, they gutted each other. The court of public opinion is little changed, if any at all, in (literally) hundreds of years.

This thread played out pretty much as expected. Liberals criticize and mock the nut bag while conservatives dribble out tu quoque's, non sequiturs, and false equivalencies.

No... it pretty much played out exactly as expected... some how... what's really at issue here is nut job libs vs nut job right wingers.

Now, I just wonder if he's going to continue to date Ms. Stiviano, who's mixed-race herself.

Some people are oddly specific in their racism.

Don't give me that bull. You know as well as I that if he had any connection to the Republican Party. The same group on the left would be going after him the same way.
No, they wouldn't.

I actually have to agree with Caper on this one.

That's because conservatives tend to defend guys like this, and rationalize their repugnant views.

It seems to me that a relative few conservatives actually defend the racist comments of fellow conservatives. The difference I see between conservatives and liberals is that most conservatives tend to go or remain silent when one of their own makes obviously racist comments, whereas liberals tend to condemn the person, regardless of their place on the political spectrum.

A racist joke, ladies and gentlemen. A racist joke.

It's funny because it's racist!

I wonder if she loves green more than he hates her publicizing her relationships with blacks.

I'm a little confused about what your point is. Are you trying to make a distinction between punishing speech after the fact and prior restraint of speech? Because if so, I don't think the case law on the 1st Amendment makes such a distinction.

Yes.
