Something tells me there are several valid sentences that could start that way.

What about "... only in my head"? :p

Meanwhile the laughing stock John Kerry keeps using the bearded men for his moronic statements while even the NYT has kind of retracted that story. And TIME met one of them on the ground, Alexander Mozhaev, nicknamed - thanks Weltengeist - "Babay". Bogeyman. Hahaha.

Oh, and the wig is pissed at RT for exposing his dirt-dumb lies.

“The propaganda bullhorn that is the state-sponsored RT program has been deployed to promote – actually, RT network – has been deployed to promote President Putin’s fantasy about what is playing out on the ground,” Kerry said. Furthermore, he said RT almost spends all its time “propagandizing and distorting what is happening, or not happening, in Ukraine.”

Look into the mirror, sicko, and crimea river.

In this context, no, there really aren't.

Poster A claims Russian troops were operating in Crimea
Poster B says to poster A "Prove it."
Posters A and C provided Putin's own admission that Russian troops were operating in Crimea

Any "Buts" after this exchange is an attempt at hand waving or obfuscation.

We all remember well how Putin claimed that it was little bearded men from mars who operated the Black Sea Fleet and the other military installations under the well-publicized contracts. Fun times.

And is it part of their MO to operate without identifying insignia?

What's to hide?

It's amusing watching the dictator lovers flail for any justification for Putin's revealed lies.

World Socialist Web Site.

Indeed. "Published by the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI)"

That article is by Alex Lantier. I see where our pro-imperialist lefties get their talking points. He also writes about Turkey false flag attacks, Syria chemical conspiracy, pro-Russia propaganda, anti-US propaganda... Last July he wrote that the US was about to invade Syria.

Hand in hand with globalresearch.ca "All the extremely biased frothing anti-US spin and conjecture that's fit to print."

First, Russian forces were in the Crimea in accordance with treaties, not contracts.

Second, having your forces operate in the manner that happened in the Crimea and is presently happening in eastern Ukraine is a violation of the laws of war. There is a well established set of rules, dating back to the Hague Conventions that requires lawful combatants to:

a. Openly wear a sign or symbol that marks you as a part of a force;
b. Have a recognized command structure in which commanders are responsible for the actions of their subordinates;
c. Carry arms openly; and
d. Conduct your operations in accordance with the Laws of Armed Conflict (LOAC).

By removing all identify insignia and pretending to be "franc tireurs", or a spontaneously formed militia the Russian Forces are in violation of principles a. and d. above (because pretending to be a different force is a violation of the LOAC).

So, if the Ukrainian Army had captured any of those yahoos in Crimea, or with the insurgents in eastern Ukraine, they become unlawful combatants, and are not entitled to treatment as Prisoners of War - essentially Ukraine would be within their rights to either treat them as criminals, spies - so long as they are treated in the same manner as the Ukraine treats its normal prisoners, and if Ukrainian criminal law allows it - execute them.

FIFY (in red)

What gets me is how brazen he is.

March 4th

Putin denied that the Russian-speaking soldiers occupying key Crimean military sites were Russian special forces, describing them as pro-Russian local self-defence forces.

"There are many military uniforms. Go into any local shop and you can find one," he said.

April 17th

The armed men in military uniform without insignia, dubbed “the little green men” or “the polite people,” who were present in Crimea before and during the referendum there, were Russian troops, Vladimir Putin acknowledged speaking at a Q&A session with on Thursday. The president said he never concealed the fact from his foreign counterparts, and explained to them that it was the only way to ensure the referendum on the region’s status would be carried out peacefully.

It was blatantly obvious at the time - a load of troops with no markings but with kit that looked identical to the recently-announced Russian 2014-pattern battledress.

But jimbob - go into any army surplus store and you can buy the same gear!!!

So at least the crowd went back from drooling about Putin denying that Russian troops were present in Crimea to more specific claims that could be investigated for if they were denials, evasions, admissions or whatever - by someone who doesn't burst out in laughter every time a Yankistani invokes international law. In the meantime you could write letters to the editors who still babble on about "invasions". ;)

In your opinion, are Russia's actions defensible?

If this was the US and Mexico for instance would it be OK for the US to take advantage of instability in the Mexican government to sneak US troops into Baja California in unmarked uniforms, set up a quickie referendum and then absorb Baja? And then to repeat the process in Chihauhau(?) or Sonora? And if the Mexican Army were to try and reestablish order would it be justifiable for the US to tell Mexico to get its army out of those provinces as doing so would be a reason for the US to roll across the border?

Ah, yes, *that* was another brazen lie - thanks for reminding me.

I had previously found a price tag for the uniform. It wasn't cheap.

For "take advantage of" read "promote and facilitate"

None of that matters to Childlike Empress. You aren't allowed to have an opinion on this, or to cite international law, even though you are right, because you are a "Yankistani", even though you are Canadian.

That's how it works in "anti-imperialist" dictator loving circles.

If you want to present this as some kind of analogy, I have to inform you that it is beyond laughable. I said my part about Crimea. It had to be expected by the Nulands of the world and drawing a red line was a good and necessary thing. And, as I said before, the whining is healthy (and hilarious to watch).

Because reasons.

I said my part about Crimea.

Which amounts to "Putin did it, so it's fine."

Gibberish. I think you need to take a break for a while.

lol wut??:p:confused:

Witty aside fail. Try a straightforward answer next time.

Pepe Escobar is amused about Kerry's whining as well:

Seriously, wouldn't being quiet about it be a better strategy than shouting out loud how annoyed one is about RT, shortly after oneself was once again caught red-handed spreading propaganda? One should think, shouldn't one? Well, that's if you aren't desperate. Apropos, greetings to the poor shills who try so hard to get my attention. My advice: Quit and spill the beans. The time is right.
