There's a significant difference between knowing something and having proof beyond reasonable doubt. The testimony in the article is one of the pieces of the latter.

What I find interesting is that all these people buy the "Kiev government are fascists" line spoon-fed to them by Kremlin. Fascists typically don't hold elections right after seizing power, and they don't tolerate armed insurgents taking over government buildings, nor do they permit hostile propaganda in their jurisdictions. These are among those who pretty much prove Kiev government is anything but fascist. Again, something no one in contact with Planet Earth could doubt in, but there's a difference between knowing and having proof. Just idiocy and wishful thinking I guess.

I really do wonder what Putin's endgame is.

McHrozni

Probably no more complicated than, "Mine mine mine!"

I've been reading a bit about Neo-Bolshevism and Alexandr Dugin, and I think I'm starting to understand where our "anti-imperialists" are coming from. It's a fascist movment that wants to be seen as distinct from previous fascist regimes, but at the same time praises Waffen-SS. It's quite vile, and it seems like it recruits disillusioned Westernerns in anti-Americanism, instead wanting to tie Europe closer to Russia, so that Russia can stand as leader of a powerful anti-American block.

One of Dugin's principles was the annexation of Russian speaking territories in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea.

Dugin's current philosophical influence, both in the Kremlin and in the Russian militias operating in Eastern Ukraine, is becoming apparent.

Ah yes, the unknown knowns and the known unknowns... good times!

The facists in the Krim did... The facists in the Ukraine on the other hand haven't yet. And it's just for president.

and they don't tolerate armed insurgents taking over government buildings,

I don't think sending in tanks generally goes with "tolerating"

nor do they permit hostile propaganda in their jurisdictions.

Erm.... 11th march cable operators in ukraine where instructed to drop russian channels. 19th march was when Igor beat up that TV chief.

Jews ordered to register in east Ukraine

There's a picture of these leaflets.

This is really alarming. Looks like they are setting the stage for ethnic cleansing.

There's more than one interpretation. I wouldn't put it past the "pro-Russian activists" to do something like that (with or without orders from Moscow). But I can't help consider the possibility that the other side did it to make the Russians look bad. Anyone can put on a mask and hand out flyers.

Either way, it's a very bad sign.

Well, let's check the confirmed False Flag record in Ukraine so far:

Russia: 1
Anyone else: 0

Admittedly, that's just one data point. The world is full of possibilities. How do we know for sure? If only there was evidence to guide us...

Apparently, a deal has been struck. It will be interesting to see how this works.

Deal to 'de-escalate' agreed in Geneva

Russia, Ukraine, the US and the European Union have said that all sides have agreed to steps to "de-escalate" the crisis in eastern Ukraine.

...

Following the Geneva talks, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Deshchytsia, US Secretary of State John Kerry and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said there was agreement that all illegal military formations in Ukraine must be dissolved, and that everyone occupying buildings must be disarmed and leave them.

They added that there would be an amnesty for all anti-government protesters under the agreement, and talk of "inclusivity" - possibly a suggestion that Russian-speaking areas of Ukraine might be granted more autonomy.

These steps will be overseen by monitors from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Pity that I didn't have time this morning for another "psychic" prediction of what would happen in Geneva. Well, next time again. ;)

Did any of you "critical thinkers" tried to dig into that "they are after da Joooos" news item? Or are you just waiting patiently for the clowns (including the wig) who parroted it to tell you if it turned out to be real, even those who were at least a bit suspicious of it? I mean, I didn't even have to dig and had the answer presented to me from the horse's mouth before catching up with today's exchange of knee-jerk nothingness (the fraction that is visible to me).

Why do you think they struck a deal with Russia, and not the east Ukrainian opposition?

You don't find it interesting that Russia agreed to de escalate and abandon all illegal military formations inn Ukrain? Hmm.

And what does this have to do with the leaflets demanding registration of jews?

Let's not overreact just yet.

U.S. officials Thursday denounced what one called a "grotesque" leaflet ordering Jews in one eastern Ukrainian city to register with a government office, but the Jewish community there dismissed it as a "provocation."

...

... the Jewish community statement said relations between the Jews of Donetsk and their neighbors were amicable, and the self-proclaimed head of the "People's Republic," Denis Pushilin, denied any connection to the fliers.

Pushilin told CNN the handwriting on the flier wasn't his, and the title attached to his name was not one he uses. It wasn't clear who had distributed the leaflets, but the chief rabbi of nearby Dnipropetrovsk said, "Everything must be done to catch them."

"It's important for everyone to know its not true," said the rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki. "The Jews of Donetsk will not do what the letter says."

Dugin's opinion that China is a natural enemy of Russia, and his plans for basicaly dismembering it might be one reason why China has sort of put it semi alliance with Putin on hold.
