Curious indeed --"Ama" doesn't seem all that confident in the Aristean calendar. That, and/or Alvaran can't even keep her own story straight from one session to another, and/or doesn't even care if someone catches her in a lie.

If "sacrifice" = staying up late, then perhaps Jesus should have been caffeinated instead of crucified. I suspect that most of us here have sacrificed more than one night a year, and to far more worthy causes

The prophesies of "Ama," as always, continue to be duds. Not a single one of them is good enough to be the work of a god (says the goddess who correctly prophesied the death of Slobodian Milosevic in the middle of his war crimes trial, in the correct year, and only missed the death of Fred Phelps by 79 days)

Another possibility is that, as always, money talks.
From what we know of the electricity theft, Maria Liwayway Alvaran has a family quite willing to make the most of her performance and I daresay they care nothing for the Aristean calendar.

I wonder if those prophecies about children bashing their elders wasn't actually a call for help from a spiritual huckster caught in the web of her own lies.

Those are sensible questions; but you have to remember that you're asking them of someone who thinks that "Pilate was a golem" is a perfectly sensible thing to say.

It might also help to remember that PC lives in a place that is saturated with Christianity; there's a sort of cultural inertia of faith involved. PC is definitely taking it to extremes, but it's essentially really not much different than the way Christians in the U.S. (for example) will look at you if you tell them you don't believe in the god they've been raised to take for granted- it's as if you've questioned the workings of gravity. Once you begin with, completely believe in, and never question a premise that's not rational, such as the whole "god came to earth and died as a human to save us from our sins" thing, all bets are off- a premise like that can take you anywhere.

Yes the Earth will continue to do what it has been doing for 4.6 Billion years. It will have "violent weather". There is nothing new here. So how is something that was "predicted" in 1980 that has been happening for 4.6 Billion years be possibly be called a prophesy. Give us a time date and Country or give this useless waste of bandwidth up. But you can't because she is a liar and steals money from true believers, and you are one of these and cannot escape. Your investment in her is too powerful for you to let go.

We do really have "weather" in case you never noticed. And wait until the Yellowstone Caldera blows it's stack. THAT will indirectly cause "weather", and you won't even want to be on the same planet when it happens. Or better still, wait for the Nuclear war in July 2012.

PC, anyone with even a slight knowledge of the daily news could make up better predictions than the ones you got from the spirit of Ama a bitter, blind fraud pretending to be a god.

In fact, I assert that I and the other participants in the thread can do a vastly better job of coming up with prophesies. Shall we give it a try?

I predicted that Australia would win the World Championship ICC Cup (by beating 7 other teams), to be held later that year, I also predicted that Australia would beat England that Summer and regain the "Ashes" Cricket Trophy, and that they would then go on and beat 11 other teams to win the World Cup to be held in the West Indies in 2007, giving them these three wins in a row and making Cricket history.

Naturally, I expect Australia to win the ICC Cup, regain the Ashes, then go on and win the World Cup to make it three in a row.

Those were the specific results, and they can be found on any Cricket Sports Webpage. I am superior to Ama, in that I make exact predictions, and all she can do is non specific weather forecasts. What a pathetic "prophet" she really is. Hey, I predict that Geelong will reach at least 18C tomorrow? How good is that?

My predictions turned out to be 100% accurate, and were made six months in advance of the last of the three events. I don't need 35 years.

I also predicted that Geelong would win the Australian Football League Premiership in 2007 and that Melbourne Storm would win the National Rugby Premiership the same year. Both these predictions also came true.

That is a testifiable, verifiable set of predictions, the results can be easily ascertained, and that makes me a better prophet than your fraud, Ama. I was 100% right in every detail. Oh, and I do not accept that Ama's powers exist (you might already know that if you ever bother to read what others post here)! I simply observed the events that had occurred to that point and came to the conclusion that the 5 events that would follow would be a completely "natural" outcome.

It's pretty easy to do at times, and confuse people with no critical skills, especially if you publicly omit, or intentionally selectively forget your misses (with Ama - all of them), and only include your ultimate successes, which of course Ama has none. Of course I suspect that you know this, but cannot publicly admit that this person that you have donated so much money to is anything less than perfect.
