The prophecies of Ama

OK, that was a waste of 77p, but here you go:

The book is in two languages, English and Filipino. A paragraph or so of English followed by (presumably) the same prose in Filipino.

There are only 28 pages to the book, split into six sections, which are headed respectively 'politics', 'entertainment', 'the murderer known as Z', 'the cult in crisis', 'environment' and 'wild man in the woods'.

Before the sections there is an introduction claiming that in January 2014, the "great spirit of Ama left her avatar upon the earth, abandoning the woman who had been her mouthpiece... who had told lies about Jesus the Messiah and.... Pontius Pilate and his origins". (Sounds familiar?)

The new host of Ama is a man, chosen in February 2014.

Politics:
Willard Romney is suffering from a slow-growing cancer.
Jeb Bush is not the man conservatives think he is, and if elected he will 'rend the Republican party in twain".
Ted Cruise [sic] is an idiot, and if elected the Republican party will cease to exist.
Sarah Palin is infatuated with Putin, and if elected then Alaska will secede from the USA and Palin will gift Alaska to Putin "as a betrothal gift." (Only she won't actually marry Putin).

Entertainment:
Rush Limbaugh has neither cancer nor syphilis, but he does have heart disease, but his addition to painkillers is such that they would be ineffective against the pain of a heart transplant so he will either die or be driven mad by pain.

The murderer known as Z:(it's fairly obvious who this is meant to be)
"He will commit four murders."
The first will be a boy, who will be accused of gang activity by the man's defenders. Z will be famous for this murder but will escape imprisonment. The second murder will not be discovered until after Z's death unless the woman who aided him in the cover-up informs the authorities.
He will commit many smaller sins that will not result in death.
The third murder will be a child, and the fourth will either be the woman if she helps him escape prosecution, or another inmate if he is imprisoned. He will then be killed by other prisoners.

The cult in crisis:
The leaders of an "American pagan cult" are terrified as their founding documents have been shown to be forged. A man who holds the proof of this will die in a fire in his home outside SLC Utah which will be set by cult members but ruled to be accidental. The documents are thought to be destroyed in the fire but are actually held by a loyal church member, who will bequeath them to his son. The son may release them in the future.

Environment:
"Two brothers are cooking the earth. They will die before they see the full effects of their actions. Their descendants will curse their names for generations to come. Their names will endure as icons of evil and wanton destruction for 500 years after the second of them dies. Their souls will never find rest."
That is the entirety of this chapter.

Wildman in the woods:
"A bard. He made his living that way once."
The bard is seeking power to in order to rectify wrongs he's committed, he's seen as a lunatic but he is not. He is not discreet. If he achieves power there will be chaos, but it will be no worse than any of his predecessors. "The bardic madman is a better choice than the fool from the north.".

Aaaaaand.... that's it.

Nothing about the Spratly Islands but perhaps the WWIII stuff was Maria Alvaran going off-script, which is why she's been sacked as Ama's mouthpiece and her soul consigned to hell.

What do you think, PeaceCrusader? Is this new mouthpiece of Ama right, and these six bits of 'prophecy' in his two weeks of channelling Ama are the real deal? Or is Ka Apaz the real mouthpiece of Ama?#1150

You are talented, Agatha. You can be a publisher or an author of books.

Do you believe in Hell? The Holy Bible mentions only Heaven and Hell. There is no Purgatory.

PC, on the off-chance this *doesnt* occur, what would be your reaction?

Well, when he specifically named 7 different dates in 2012, every Wednesday in July and a few into August, and after it didn't happen, he promised never to post on the prophesies of Ama again, saying that it was a false God and he just started to ignore the entire subject.

We can all see how well that worked out on this thread. PC simply retrofitted Ama's lies into new cloth. Is he a lost cause? Time will tell.

After all, he has committed so much of his money, and his life to a lying old hag, he is trapped. PC can never think, "why did I waste so much money in this stupid old bag?". It is too late for him to be saved from the woo.

1975 Prophecy 5 – People will become afraid and shocked because of the coming of strong typhoons or hurricanes, and strong earthquakes. (Magugulumihanan at masisindak ang sangkatauhan dahil sa pagsapit ng malalakas ng bagyo at malalakas na lindol.) #1081

In prophecy 5 which was revealed in 1974-12, let me mention that Super Tyhoon Haiyan hit Tacloban, Leyte, Phillipines last year on 2013-11-08. I would like to point out that most of the strong typhoons that we had occurred during the last 35 years.

So a prophesy with no time limit or geographical location that predicted either of two types of weather events known to happen was fulfilled when a weather event took place in the Philippines 39 years later?

My family will believe in the spirit of Ama when these happen.

So your family don't believe in these prophecies?
Anything to do with the "money is worthless, give it to me" aspect of Ka Apaz?

As for the Spratly Islands causing a nuclear war, only one of the countries involved in that dispute has the capability and they've no need to use it.
China could stroll in there and Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam would just have to suck it up.
There'd be some political fallout, sure, but nuclear war? No.

So, how well and regularly were typhoon speeds recorded in the Phillipines before 1970?

PC, is it true Maria Liwayway Alvaran is dead?

Very true, Pixel42.
Pre-coffee posting at its worst.:o

Dunno. The wording could be interpreted that way, I suppose.

You're kind, abaddon and a case of you-know-what is floating your way as I type.
Anyway, the morning coffee's kicking in, slowly but surely.
PC, did you know that Maria Liwayway Alvaran has been displaced as Ama's mouthpiece?

You are talented, Agatha. You can be a publisher or an author of books.
All I did was condense a very short book. What do you think of these prophecies of Ama? Do you think the book is correct that Ama has left Ka Apaz and consigned her soul to hell?

Do you believe in Hell? The Holy Bible mentions only Heaven and Hell. There is no Purgatory.
No, I don't believe in hell (or heaven, or purgatory). All three are fictional places, made up by people trying to make sense of an unfair world. There is no afterlife; no hell for 'sinners' and no heaven for the 'righteous'. We get one shot at life and this is it.

I would like to point out that you have no way of knowing whether or not this is true.

Although I do realise that knowing whether things are true or not is completely irrelevant to you.

Yes, the sunk cost fallacy is alive and well in PC.

China could stroll in there and Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam would just have to suck it up.
There'd be some political fallout, sure, but nuclear war? No.

PC, could you please comment on this valid point? Five of the countries involved in the dispute over the Spratly Islands don't have nuclear weapons. Which other country will be launching nuclear warheads against China?

Also, do you have any idea who wrote the book (or rather pamphlet) about Ama's prophecies? Ama seems to know an awful lot about Rush Limbaugh, Jeb Bush and other people Ka Apaz probably hasn't even heard of. Perhaps he just got tired of her lack of interest in right-wing American politics.

Oops. Back to front. Wars are most often waged to gain the resources of others, not to destroy them. Another non-prediction prediction. Do you never tire of making pointless non-predictions?

Also, what do you make of Ka Apaz being fired from her position? By Ama, no less.

This is something that's never happened before 1975?
It seems like a pretty mundane sort of thing to predict, PC.
Could you give us your thoughts on Ama's new mouthpiece?
