I'll stick to my belief that since the human body is a metabolism running on chemicals reacting to each other for specific purposes, to date no one can know how or when injected materials/adjuvants are going to disrupt the chemical reactions and the consequences of those disruptions.

Metabolism is a term that is used to describe all chemical reactions involved in maintaining the living state of the cells and the organism.

Then, why are you squawking about squalene? That particular chemical exists naturally in the human body.

seems you need a chemistry course, a biology course and basic science course too clayton

Just gonna snip that so I can ask: Does anyone plan to expand that vaccine to the other variants of HPV?

Would be awesome if we could simply eliminate warts worldwide.
Well my post was AAH'd so I don't want to go too far OT but yes HPV vaccine research is continuing.
The first vaccine (Cervarix) protected against two HPV strains (6 and 11) that cause most of the HPV related cancers; the newer vaccine (Gardasil) adds protection against HPV strains 6 and 11. This improves cancer protect, adds protection against precancerous lesions and eliminates ~90% of genital warts.

Current research is split into two directions; improving coverage of HPV strains (including the possibility of a new approach that might protect against all of them) and 'therapeutic' vaccines that can effect existing tumours. One of these (MEL-1) is in clinical trials.

Considering that time in the holocaust thread he linked to and quoted a page that directly contradicted him...

Any anti-vaxxers might want to avoid Princeton University for the time being. To avoid getting 'foreign vaccine cooties', of course, far more virulent than 'American vaccine cooties', or so I've heard. :rolleyes:

Oh. Is that your belief? I thought it was your belief that squalene-containing anthrax vaccines caused Gulf War Syndrome. (Despite research showing no link between anthrax vaccine and GWS. And the fact that the anthrax vaccine didn't contain squalene.) I can't imagine how I might have come to that conclusion. Perhaps you might have inadvertently implied such a thing in one (or perhaps even more than one) of your posts on this thread?

Just to be clear - do you believe that anthrax vaccines given to troops contained squalene and this caused GWS? Or do you accept the evidence that shows neither element is true?

I have to mention the wonderfully sarcastic comment from Respectful Insolence about the phone survey referred to in this blog entry.
From A survey administered by a German anti-vaccine homeopath backfires spectacularly on August 31, 2011
For example, four years ago, J.B. Handley’s (now Jenny McCarthy’s) anti-vaccine propaganda group Generation Rescue did what was billed as a “study” of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children. It was nothing of the sort. Rather, it was a poorly designed phone survey whose results in some groups suggested that vaccines protected against autism, although Generation Rescue spun it as supporting the vaccine-autism hypothesis. Of course, the whole survey was so ridiculously badly designed that you really couldn’t tell anything from it at all, given its selection bias and failure to control for confounders, but that doesn’t stop it from periodically rising from the grave and shambling off to feast on the brains of antivaxers, who then cite it as though it’s evidence of anything other than the incompetence of Generation Rescue at any sort of research.
(my highlighting added)
:dl:

The Respectful Insolence response to the actual survey was on June 27, 2007:
Fun with phone surveys and vaccines

Today's vaccines go far beyond the vaccine concept by essentially using GUNK ...snipped more GUNK....
Clayton Moore:
What does GUNK mean and how much GUNK is in vaccines?
G = ?
U = ?
N = ?
K = ?

What makes US children so different from the children in the rest of the world that a study needs to be done just for them?

The truth is that the body has no process to dispel/exit the GUNK/adjuvants...
The truth is that you are endlessly repeating your ignorance, Clayton Moore with that ignorant statement :jaw-dropp.
The body dispels vaccine adjuvants in exactly the same way it expels the trace amounts of them absorbed from the environment, e.g. through the kidney. Better answered by Diogenes:
Bound by transferrin and transported through the kidney to urine.

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/adjuvants.html

since aluminum salts are the only adjuvants in use, and not in all vaccines (they help enhance the immune response so that less attenuated virus/bacteria can be used for the same immune response...it facilitates the immune response)

http://www.chop.edu/export/download/pdfs/articles/vaccine-education-center/aluminum.pdf

and here's a paper from 1997 that talks about transferrin and the binding of aluminum. The context in that work is in dialysis.

Of course there is the truth, without profit motivation.

Of course there is unsupported paranoia about:
being paid off being made totally made obvious, Clayton Moore :eek:!

Clayton Moore once again discards science for outdated crank antivax propaganda. A Glimpse into the Scary World of Vaccine Adjuvants is a web page full of basic paranoiac ignorance - big surprise :jaw-dropp.
An example of the idiocy on that web page - the author goes on about Freund’s Complete Adjuvant which is not used in any vaccines because of its known toxicity.

Kinda. I posted, then, when the haters started their yammering I knew I nailed it. They are the purest of any sounding board.
The rational people (not haters) in this thread nailed that you posted an irrational tirade from a crank web site, Clayton Moore.
The rational people (not haters) in this thread nailed that you did not even do the basic act of checking the references in that tirade.

One site that provides the scientific criticism of drug/vaccine products is the CDC site, which you will ignore yet again, Clayton Moore.

There are no sites reliable enough to slam drug or vaccine companies?
Yes there are. Wikipedia springs to mind (with the usual caveat that you need to check the sources) - look at their article on Zoloft which slams the Pfizer advertisements.

If a drug or vaccine company brings out a bad product then there are many Internet sources slamming the bad product. Better yet there are many print articles available. Really strange, Clayton Moore, that you do not know this basic fact about the world\. But I suspect you are looking for sites that reliably slam drug and vaccines companies for bringing out effective products with few, well documented side-effects :eek:.

Clayton Moore:

When you get all pear-shaped about "squalene", are you referring to the C30H50 triterpene hydrocarbon: "2,6,10,15,19,23-Hexamethyltetracosa-2,6,10,14,18,22-hexaene", that is found in cod-liver oil, shark-liver oil, rice bran, wheat, amaranth, and olives; poultry, oily fish, and organ meats?

The stuff that your own system produces to metabolize sterols (including vitamin D)?

The stuff that your own skin secretes so much of (150-500mg/day) that the detection of squalene in oil-based test compounds is considered per se evidence of improperly handled glassware? (To forestall silliness, you might want to read up on the fact that the human body excretes squalene in feces even when maintained on a squalene-free diet.)

'Cos, yeah, we do know how it is metabolized. We also know that it is metabolized by even the archaebacteria, indicating that it has been part of the sterol metabolic pathway since early in the history of life-on-this-planet.

...It's a medium-chain hydrocarbon.

Praps you might ought to consider doing a bit of reading.

Oh dear, Lying by quote mining and misdirecting, Clayton Moore!
Health controversy
There have been attempts to link squalene to Gulf War Syndrome mainly due to the idea that squalene might have been present in an anthrax vaccine given to some military personnel during the 1991 Persian Gulf War.
...
It has also been determined that the anthrax vaccines given to those US military personnel did not use squalene as an adjuvant.[26][27][28] The vaccines were also tested for squalene, and none was detected with standard methods.[29] A much more sensitive method was then developed, which again found no squalene in 37 of the 38 lots tested. One lot contained traces of squalene, at less than ten parts per billion, which is about 30-fold less than the level found in human blood.[30] The FDA stated that this trace of squalene probably came from a fingerprint, since the oils on human skin contain enough squalene to send these extremely sensitive tests "off the chart".[31]
