The LDS church still teaches hatred, and bigotry towards homosexuals, and apparently, transsexuals. A shame.

I could never be a member of an organization that professes, and teaches such hate.

So the Mormon Church does not advocate hatred or bigotry as long as you remain the sole authority on what is hateful or bigoted under the old "Well if God commands in it then it can't be bad, ergo everything God commands has to be good" copout.

Calling someone's love for another consenting adult a perversion or adomination is hateful.

My church is always and eternally right about everything. The only times it was wrong was all those previous times it said it was right about everything and then had to change its story when it was determined that it wasn't right. And this all makes perfect sense.

On the other hand, janadele, I am interested in how continued and repeated parroting of unsupported urban legends demonstrates "progression".

I am interested in how consensual behaviour among adults in private can affect you in any way.

I am interested in how your personal disgust for a class of people translates into the "word of 'god' " about "eternal law", and how that is supposed to excuse hatred, and prejudice, and bigotry.

Take a flyer. Answer one of my questions with something other than copypasta. I would really like to see an actual answer.

Let's have a discussion then. Is there any reason for anyone who is not a member to believe in Mormonism? Without the promises or claimed consequences? Many religions have promises of a blissful afterlife and claims of consequences for those who don't believe.

To follow onto that. There are those who claim to have been present with l Ron Hubbard when a group of fiction writers were discussing how to make a new religion. Would such a revelation caste doubt on Scientology?
