Why shouldn't we accept the parsimonious answer, it is just a funery text. It was found with mummies. The Egyptians would bury their dead with funery texts. It was a sacred ritual. Why would they allow a blasphemous text (book of Abraham) to be included?

Then what are the odds that the only text of the BoA would be owned by a carnival barker who just happened to be passing by.

Could Abraham even write Egyptian?

Okay, what is the argument? Janadele won't discuss the LDS Church, the BoM, the BoA, her own claims about...well, any of her own claims, or any of tbe issues she has brought up here.

Yeah, I have a question.

What would be the appeal of Mormonism to an atheist like me? Keep in mind that:

I find religious services needlessly boring.
I believe it's okay to be gay.
I don't have money to throw away.

It is the one true and sure guide towards your eternal progression rather than retrogression.

If you join, do you have to go on dozens of Internet forums, spewing lies, hatred and bigotry? Is that required of all members, or just you?

Where is the proof of "eternal progression"?

What if you don't believe in fairy tales?

What if you have evidence that Joe Smith was a fraud and a confidence artist, and Brigham Young a racist child molestor?

Well, according to your beliefs, if God were to command you to commit genocide that wouldn't be hate or bigotry, either, would it? Because “Whatever God requires is right, no matter what it is, although we may not see the reason thereof till long after the events transpire.” ?

Then why do you advocate both? And why do you keep lying?

So you say.... but I need to see some evidence before I believe you. Got any?

And no... quoting scripture isn't what will do the trick.

Your posting here does seem to indicate otherwise.

I'm open to the possibility that hate and bigotry are your own personal failings though.

We have all progressed from the beginning of time to our birth in mortality. Some choices, thoughts and actions in mortality however may cause regression.

If you are a good little boy or girl Santa Claus will bring you presents. It's Santa Claus for adults.

Those that buy into it think they have an eternal reward and it makes them feel superior.

The LDS church considered people with dark colored skin to be unworthy to hold the priesthood.

That is called racism. It means the LDS consider people of darker colored skins to be less than people with whiter colored skins.

The Book of Mormon is filled with information which does not sense with reality. It says certain people are descendants of certain other peoples, but DNA proves it wrong.

The BoM has several instances where, what it proclaims as "truth", are demonstrably false. That is called lying.

The LDS church used to proclaim that God said polygmy was right, until the US said otherwise, then the LDS changed it's stance. Why? Did God's proclimation become wrong?

The first visitation has several original variations, none of which are the variation that is touted currently, as the correct one. Why would that be?

That's great! When did the LDS church start accepting same sex relationships, and campaigning for same sex rights, and same sex marriage?
