Well you are correct there. At least JREF allows no-planers to post here and debate the merits of their claims. Unlike LCF, JREF allows all pov's to be aired and does not censor or discriminate.

I never really had a problem at LCF. I managed to make over 200 posts without getting banned, actually, I received only one warning the whole time I posted there. It came from JFK after I called Aldo a potty mouth for using a whole bunch of profanity that was directed at me.

The CIT forums? That's a whole other story. I signed up one evening and went back a few days later to make a post and I was banned. 0 posts before banning has to be some kind of record.

In 2006, I signed up as "Russell Casse"* at the PFT forums and announced this on this forum. Cap'n Bobby saw that and subsequently banned me, before changing my user name to "Bell JREF troll", though. I also had 0 posts.

* Inspired by a JREF member (can't remember who) who used a picture of Russell Casse as his avatar to make fun of PFT.

HA! I was banned from both the CIT tree fort and LCF without even ever attempting to join! Beat that!

/they thought I was someone else, i guess.
 
I recall one LCF sceptic who was suspended by JFK for using the "when did you stop beating your wife?" parallel. He actually put it in quotes and explained the meaning of the fallacy in relation to the subject matter, and in some depth.

But, hey, it's a valuable "reference site" :rolleyes:
 
I've been monitoring the PFT site, mainly for related to Warren Stutt's updates:

Seems like Rob or other admins were manipulating the dates of some of the posts to make it appear there was activity. For example, I would visit a thread that I gone through a year ago, with an updated last post date, to find nothing new. Same last post, same date, but thread showed an update.

In reality, PFT is another tumbleweed-infested site. Good to know.

:eye-poppi I know that's typical of the LCF mods, but it's still shocking.

People really hate being taught things.
 
I self-imposed my ban by never joining; I don't give dignity to self described dictatorships. They chose their policies, I know I do not conform to their "mentality" or practices... I won't join... There are other sites where the discussions can be had without compulsive humiliation being practiced by the owners.

I don't recall anyone being banned who acted with civility and wasn't gaming a thread for their own childish amusement.

LCF encourages honest and respectful discussion which is the antithesis of what is practised at JREF.

The only topic which was banned was 'no planes'.

You present a classic example of what would be considered a gamer and an empty waste of space at LCF.

At JREF you can post collect, fire off one-liners, gate keep, and basically contribute nothing to important subject matter.

Their rules pretty clearly imply up front that if they deem an argument "cliche" they're going to erase it or ignore it as a practice of management. I don't think discussions should be "banned" outright or managed the way they state in the rules, that's a dangerous precedent to set.

And people who meet that criteria who aren't banned often get relegated to a "skeptics" group which as far as I'm concerned is nothing more than a public wall of shame on people who dissent.

I don't agree with either so I choose not to waste my time and theirs. It's an administration issue... not a civility issue, though the latter has a direct correlation with the former.

As far as a "comparison" to this forum and LCF; the only difference between these two right now is I agreed with the JREF TOS and can choose to "un"agree at any time I feel like they aren't holding up to standard, whereas I read LCF's rules and judged that I didn't agree with their stated
terms of membership and chose not to join. It's something that applies to any forum I consider my membership for.

Honestly.. the thread isn't so much about the 9/11 conspiracies so much as it's a nod at cross-forum activity and mockery... The whole "JREF'ers vs LCF" canard is something people in this subsection and those on that other forum enabled themselves... Though I agree LCF is too biased

If you want to ask me whatever on this privately go ahead... but I have nothing left to contribute to the thread... Measuring schticks between forums is just not my thing.

Which is exactly what you and your fellow cult minions do here. Let's get real, LCF is nothing but one of the 9/11 cult forums. They prefer their dogma over reality. Lucky for them that their pathetic little forum is unknown to most of the world or there would be allot more people laughing at them then there already are.

This is true. But Truthers here aren't banned for doing that either. They can be 'an empty waste of space' and that's no cause for a suspension or banning. I can't name names, but there are Truthers here who post often yet have not risen above what you describe in years. And I've lost count of the number of times when your posts have amounted to nothing more substantial than "Too funny" (your catchphrase).

And that's the difference. LCF Truther regulars could hurl abuse and be allowed to get away with it. Sceptics had to tread a line that was so fine it was close to impossible to walk.

Here's a thought - I (and kindred souls) were relegated to the 'Skeptics' area of LCF (prior to eventual banning, naturally). If a subject came up outside that, as they often did, we'd have to start a new thread down in the ghetto to refer to it. We were damn near censored at the best of times in that apartheid LCF world. Can you post freely throughout JREF? Which system would be your model in some theoretical New World Order? LCF or JREF?

Such blind hypocrisy as yours is very hard to stomach.
