New TWA Flight 800 film coming out

Yes I put myself before them. They never saw the missile launch and cruise to the target. They don't know there was a missile at all.
There certainly is no way an AA missile at 10 miles sent any kind of blast or shock-wave to them.

I have watched missiles launch and destroy their targets. I have been on the receiving end of air attacks that delivered much bigger ordnance and I| have seen, felt and heard it explode close by. I have felt the shock of a sister ship exploding when a 500 lb bomb dropped earlier that penetrated the hull without detonating has exploded while a team were trying to make it safe.

I know when someone is mistaken or spouting BS about this.

Was that the Sheffield or the Coventry?

Was that the Sheffield or the Coventry?

It was HMS Antelope. I was in 10th grade when the conflict happened, and I followed it all extensively on the network news and in news magazines. The next year, I read two books about the Falklands War over Christmas break.

From Wikipedia:

After initial damage control efforts, Antelope proceeded to more sheltered waters so that two bomb disposal technicians from the Royal Engineers could come aboard and attempt to defuse the two unexploded bombs. One of the bombs was inaccessible because of wreckage; the other had been damaged and was thought to be in a particularly dangerous condition. Three attempts by the bomb disposal team to withdraw the fuse of this bomb by remote means failed.

A fourth attempt using a small explosive charge detonated the bomb, killing Staff Sergeant James Prescott instantly and severely injuring Warrant Officer Phillips, the other member of the bomb disposal team. The ship was torn open from waterline to funnel, with the blast starting major fires in both engine rooms, which spread very quickly. The starboard fire main was fractured, the ship lost all electrical power, and the commanding officer, Commander Nick Tobin, gave the order to abandon ship. Tobin was the last person to leave the ship; about five minutes after his departure, the missile magazines began exploding.

Spitfire IX beat me to it.

Also Argonaut had two UXBs aboard for a few days while they were made safe. Argonaut was in service until 93 after repairs.

I was on HMS Plymouth. We destroyed two aircraft with our Sea Cat missiles and were hit by bombs ourselves that failed to explode, one started fires below and there was other damage, we carried one for a while after it was made safe.. Our Helicopter damaged the Sub 'Santa Fe' enough to stop it diving and it surrendered. We also took the surrender of the forces on South Georgia. She is a Museum Ship now.

yes puts into sharp relief the Hollywood induced fantasies people have about weapons and what they are and are not capable of.

Cashill wrote of a sub near the crash cruising on the surface that submerged right after.

What was the name of this sub that was near the crash site? Submerging an 800’+ sub in 100’ of water would certainly be a good cause for the Captain to be stripped of his command.

I think... and I'm just testing the waters here... it's time to consider that the warhead was equipped with nanothermite.

I was going to go with an interdimensional-tensor-portal warhead that doesn't phase into our spacetime dimension until it hits human flesh.

I'm glad you asked that. If you look at hangar photos of the reconstructed nose the type of 747 TWA 800 was had unused window slots in the fuselage. The unused window slots on the starboard side of the 1st Class section were all blown-out, as is seen in the wreckage. The unused window slots on the port side were all intact and still in their places. The fact these plugs were all blow-out on the starboard side is forensic proof the nose section impacted the water on that side. As is the confirming forensic proof of the port side still having its window plugs in place. Google Image the wreckage and you'll see this.

A nose section that falls on its starboard side doesn't have the correct impact position to blow the nose gear doors inward. Don't forget this is backed-up by shredded tires and blast gouges in the nose gear assembly.

With three warheads hitting it why was there any of the plane left?

There is reason to believe these were not engineering and fire drills. The Whiskey test grounds were activated and the P-3 was engaged. A test missile was fired from Virginia. Kallstrom was caught lying about their existence.

We need to find out what the 4 tracks were and why they disappeared? You can't just not explain evidence. Especially through a pattern of excuses.

Who said it was a missile? Maybe it was a diving Al Qaeda suicide aircraft.

Your debunking cable TV programs showed a blip they said was too slow to be a missile. However they never mentioned it being too slow to be a diving suicide aircraft did they? That would be just the right speed, wouldn't it? And the radar caught it.

You said there was a missile.

The "W-105 was active therefore the navy was conducting a live fire exercise" conspiracy meme is based on the typical conspiracy theorist tactic of not telling the whole story. The Notice to Airmen informs pilots when these areas are active.

To see what the Notice to Airmen says about this area go here https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/PilotWeb/

and enter 41N 73W in the Latitude/Longitude Radius Search. You need to enter 0 for the minutes. Keep the 20 nm radius. Click "View NOTAMs".

Search the results for "W105".

You will see this:

qozpWG9.png

The numbers in the far right is the time these areas are active. The format is YYMMDDHHMM. In other words, they are active for the entire month. Just like they are every month of the year. Just like they have always been.

When the Navy does conduct missile firings they let other mariners know via Broadcast Warnings as part of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System. You can search for past and current warnings here: http://msi.nga.mil/NGAPortal/MSI.portal?_nfpb=true&_st=&_pageLabel=msi_portal_page_63

To see examples of missile firing warnings choose these options from the drop-down menus:
Select area: by Category
select Navarea XII
Retrieve: All Warnings by Year
enter 2012 for yyyy
Search

A window will pop-up with all of the warnings issued in Navarea XII (the eastern north Pacific) for 2012.

Text search for "missile".

The first one you'll see is the standard message issued by Point Mugu every month or so. Like W105 it is always active but has instructions for mariners transiting it. When they getting ready to fire a missile they announce it on the bridge to bridge radio every few minutes. Others missile firings have more specific firing time windows.

Navarea IV covers the western Atlantic ocean.

You can also text search for "rocket". The French have been very busy. The ones around 28N 80W are Cape Canaveral.

Unfortunately the database isn't complete all the way back to 1996!

Long thread... very interesting.

I saw a German documentary yesterday about 911 and in there they mentionned that one of the air traffic controllers talking to the planes that hit the WTC was also involved with the TWA-800 crash..

Did anyone hear about this? ... what are the odds....

Gee, I don't know Cloggy? What do you think the odds are?

Two events, a mere five years apart. Both, by definition (aircraft involved) would have air traffic controllers somewhere in the story. The stories were in the same air lanes. With a mere 15,000 air traffic controllers (out of a population of 350 million) the chances are pretty good that one of the JFK / LGA / EWR controllers was on duty not just on both of those occasions but probably on the Egypt Air take-off, too. OMG! How can that be?

Simple math, that's how.

Let me ask. Did the German documentary you saw have eerie music when they mentioned this unbelievable coincidence?

How does that support the fantasy new film?

Wow, ATC talking to planes? Wow, what are the odds? lol, not a pilot I suspect. And what was the conclusion of the German documentary? Youtube?

TWA-800 blew up due to the CWT problem, and the terrorists flying the planes into the WTC never talked to ATC. The German documentary failed this time, the terrorist never talked to ATC.

Well it depends on what type of missiles, a detail JB is strangely reluctant to say.
As I pointed out early in the thread 1996 vintage MANPADS would have been at the limit of their range reaching TWA 800 and their small warheads unlike to immediately destroy a large aircraft. I think this flaw in his fantasy triggered the switch to multiple missiles.
The use of a larger SAM such as Standard is incompatible with with some details of JB's supposed "evidence".

To be fair, JB has leaned heavily on the standard conspiracy theorist canard, the appeal to magic. He has stated elsewhere that an "experimental missile" (of unknown properties, of course) was loaded onto a ballistic missile submarine and believes it to have shot down the flight. Rather, I should say that was the first iteration of his story, as he has also stated that a missile was fired from Virginia (!) and, of course, his most recent line of horse hockey in the "al Qaeda suicide plane" theory.

ETA: Jetblast, do yourself a favor here. Your wild speculations can't all be right at once. I suggest you select the most likely theory and work on proving that. Throwing out all sorts of fantastic explanations as a way of "questioning the official story" is a poor approach to proving a conspiracy.

It would be easier and more secure to just have a fighter intercept Flight 800 and shoot it down. It cuts out experimental missiles, submarines and such. It leaves out people reporting they saw something 'rising' but then, so does the Kamikaze idea.
