Long ago I realized that molten steel was a red herring. It seemed unusual to Truthers so they latched onto it as evidence for their side never thinking of why it would be evidence for their side.
.
That, it would seem, is the crux of the situation here.
Its your OP so I would assume then that you are willing to grant that the spectacle of molten steel would be worthy of comment. That is to say, in much the same way that one might comment on the spectacle that is a forest fire for instance. A restatement of your OP then might be; is it unusual, is it suspicious, is there a reason to expect that it has any bearing on the mechanism of collapse of three of the seven WTC structures, and if so, let's have as detailed an explanation as possible.
To the first point, "is it unusual?" , it has been demonstrated that reports of molten steel in other fires are most certainly not unusual. From this we then can logically assume that one of two things are true;
1) that steel can melt in large fires. This would mean that the answer to the question is that it is not unusual.
2) that steel cannot melt in large fires. This would mean that reports of molten steel are erroneous in other fires and therefore most probably erroneous in this case. Logically then, we would require a lot more compelling reason to label this report as unusual, and that is very much lacking in this case.
To the second point; "is it suspicious?".
Given the existance of the myriad of reports of molten steel in other large fires one can logically conclude that the answer to this question is "no".
So, to the last question, and for this we will assume that molten steel did exist in the rubble hot zone even though no truly compelling evidence demonstrates it. For this we can also assume the truther arguement of the existance of thermitic compounds in the WTC dust do exist, even though there is great dispute concerning that finding.
The purpose of this thread then is to ask for as great a detailed explanation as to how this compound would be used to cause all of the events known to have occured; ie. the manner by which the structures collapsed; the creation of weeks long molten steel hot spots in the rubble.
Have at it ergo, MM , any one.
