Merged Bigfoot: The Patterson Gimlin Film - Part 4

Yeah, "there were only two people there THAT DAY." Refering to October 20th. He would be telling the truth regardless of the authenticity of the films subject. It is fairly well known by those who have studied this film and its circumstances that the film was most likely shot previous to their claimed date. (for many reasons) Gimlin is very careful about what he says publicly.

We don't even know that they were there on Oct 20th though, do we?

If we trust Laverty, some prints were there on the 21st 23rd, which he photographed, but Laverty never documents whatever trackway might have been there.

Laverty actually arrived at the tracks on Monday, October 23rd.

For decades Bigfooters and skeptics were using the wrong date (including published in books). Laverty never sought to correct that error. He only stated the facts fairly recently when being interviewed.

Yeah that's correct. "The next day" is very popular, even at wiki, but it clearly would have been the following Monday.

It's also important to reiterate that it was Friday evening when Roger is supposedly mailing/air mailing off this undeveloped film.

I notice the bit about the phone and the weiner roast...hadn't seen it before.

Al Hodgson allegedly witnessed seeing them (according to several interviews with Hodgson) that day. (20th)

My opinion is that they had the film ready for review from shooting it there previously and made the announcement locally. The only confirmation can come from other witnesses (there were a couple more that saw them in the area, relatives of Hodgson and one other gentleman) We can speculate as to what was done when, but even with a confession from Gimlin at this point how accurate would that be?

It sure would be interesting to hear it from his point of view though before he dies.

They did it with Tontar. If enough people complain, they'll ban anyone, including the staff. Unfortunately hoaxers make up a large portion of the membership there. Perhaps more so than they realize.

Oh, I think they know more than you realize.

Clearly, groups such as the BFRO are made up of 2 people. The Salesman and the Customer. Some sell it, others buy it, literally

I sometimes wonder how much they are really buying though. Maybe some BFers are just going along with what they see as the gag because it's just a fun (for them) way to spend time. Kind of like those folks who tune into Coast To Coast AM.

Take what LTC8K6 has said literally. We do not know where they were on the 19th, 20th and 21st other than the bit of time they were at Hodgson's store the evening of the 20th. Nobody can confirm that they were camped where they said they were at Bluff Creek because nobody was there with them.

We actually have the opposite from an eyewitness. Laverty was working fulltime on those same logging roads that P&G were supposed to be hunting Bigfoot. But he says that he never saw P&G at any time and didn't even say that he saw their camp and the truck.

River, we literally do not know where they were. Think about the 3.5 mile-Patty-tracking-lie that Roger told everyone. He could easily tell another big lie about where they were..

There are hundreds of little factoids about their time at Bluff Creek. But the problem is that nearly all of those factoids were told by P&G and have no independent confirmation. Remember the bit about Roger waking up early before Gimlin and setting out on his own? That could be a complete lie too.

Gimlin rides horseback in pouring rain and darkness to cover the tracks with bark? That could be a complete lie too. Just because bark was found on some tracks doesn't mean it happened the way BG said it did.

How the hell are we supposed to know what is true?

I started one of those over on the BFF once upon a time.

That reads more like a wish list, than a verified actual list of hoaxers. I agree, move it to the tar pit, so the rest of us do not have to be subjected to yet another twisted propaganda campaign that is obviously agenda driven.

I do not see any reason to submit anything for potential revision, I do not see any sign of a qualified list, only a broad statement inviting inflammatory responses, definitively something that belongs in this tar pit we hear of. After this response, I am certainly not interested in rehashing the same old hack anymore. Enjoy the "debate".
That's right JohnC, let it all out.

I guess the notion RayG "compiled a list" is just too much for poor ole JohnC to take. It's such a vile thread he's actively campaigning (that word again) to have it moved to 'this tar pit we hear of' without knowing a ******* thing about 'this tar pit we hear of'. I guess we mere mortals need to face it, there's real fake, I mean fake real monsters out there and if he's going to be successful, he's gotta stay on task to find that mutha ****** Bigfoot truth. He simply can't be sidelined talking about those very same truths when there's so much more righteous indignation Bigfoot posting to be done while 'kicking around on a piece of ground in his hometown' of Imagination, JC, population 1. Should we send JohnC a get well card?

BobG is like a holy image in Bigfootery.

Lyle Laverty worked those logging roads every work day as a career with boots on the ground. He wasn't the only one on his crew.

He said that he never ever saw anything like Bigfoot tracks until Gimlin decided to visit his forest roads. Gimlin stops by and BOOM there is Bigfoot on film and with tracks in the sand.

It's as if Bob Gimlin brought Bigfoot to Bluff Creek and then took Bigfoot away when he left.

I don't think Lyle has ever been interviewed about the PGF and Bigfoot by anyone other than believers. He should be asked more and different questions than he has.

She's probably embarrassed. I mean, you don't want to be Peggy Marx do you? Only it would be worse, because the general public does not know Marx. If you showed them the films they'd probably remember or recognize them as just one of the many campy hoaxes from the time. The Patterson film however is much more recognizable, if you ask anyone in America about it, they might know the names of the men, they might not, but a great deal of people have all seen "that bigfoot film" with the "bigfoot look" on television.

Imagine the weird looks people would give you in the grocery store once recognized as that old lady on TV selling her husbands fake bigfoot film from 40 years ago.

She doesn't do interviews but Biscardi has posted pictures of his visit with her and they may still be online.

She isn't the only famous Bigfooter widow. Peggy Marx still insists that the film of limpy cripplefoot is authentic.

Stand by your man.

All we can do is report what witnesses were documented as saying. We can also take a look at the film evidence. I believe there is proof of the hoax in the film. There are also plenty of visible flaws in the suit. Can we prove or disprove Heironimus's claims? Gimlins? How about Marx?

You know where that leads. It all depends on your definition of proof, and your ability to sift through the BS. In the literal sense, there is proof of the hoax. Some just do not accept it. Heironimus was the guy in the suit. I don't doubt that at this point. Do you? Not that it matters who was in the suit.

What do you think is the most damning to the PGF patty cake bible?

Amazing. Those pictures totally haven't been posted and discussed hundreds of times here over the years.

What is that supposed to support? That a Phillip Morris suit made in 2007 or whenever it was taken, is different than the suit Patterson used in 1967? Yep it sure is.

Anything else?

OS, who claimed that the Morris suit was the "original?" It clearly ain't. I worry for anyone who can see past Patty's diaper.
