What? it's over 2 months away.. Does any day after 9/11 count as 'approaching' 9/11? How does 'approaching' 9/11 translate to an Asian airliner crash landing in SF?? I'm so confused right now :boxedin:

Last month stundie nomination featured a person who said exactly this -- the Aurora theatre shooting had to be a Crisis Actor job, 'cause shootings just don't happen in reality.

This is the same guy who didn't know public buildings tend to be closed in the weekends. In fact, I believe almost half a dozen of the entries to the finals are from him, amazing considering how short he was here:covereyes.

Why is science such a tight-knit group? It seems as though every real industry company is also doing hoaxing on the side to support a false demand. Hence, NASA does some real science and some fake science. They control the truth and they control the debate on it. So it goes with all the steps of this pyramid.

Why have we gone so long without testing Earth science for ourselves, why have we so easily fallen for the claptrap and parlor tricks given to us in high school and universities to explain physics? Why are we so satisfied to accept previous findings and retest them the same way, why can't we re-test basic physics and find more real evidence for our real cosmology?

Is it because most of us only desire to be at the top of this pyramid accepted as an "elite", so we worry about 'grades' and 'certificates' and we have no compassion for our less informed or more creative fellows? I can't believe that's true for everyone. It's not true for me and I think most readers will agree. We are really overdue for some kind of wake up call to — and away from — so much elite flatulence from NASA and whomever is behind it.

Has anyone there suggested rewording the question, "Why can't we re-test basic physics and find more real evidence for our real cosmology?", as the statement:

"We should re-test basic physics and find more real evidence for our real cosmology."

Sitting around wanking over questions won't get them anywhere but further up their own asses. But if they'd actually try some real-world experiments of their own, they just might start to figure out how reality really works.

That was physically painful to read. I have to stop clicking on links that go to clues forum, it's going to turn me into a violent person. They lack even the most basic critical thinking skills.

I loved the one about how there's a river only five or six miles away, so why didn't the pilot ditch there?

Just like when Sully ditched in a river, and Cluesforum all thought it was faked because ditching in a river is a wildly implausible event.

Now, this event is faked because no pilot would ever crash land on a runway when he could instead ditch in a river.

Similarly, they mock the presence of cameraphone videos during an emergency (who would videotape when they should be in a crash position) and also are stunned in disbelief when a particular event has too few videos (examples?).

Not to mention the that if given the option attempting a water landing and doing a crash-landing on a runway, a pilot will choose the runway every time. Landing in water is extremely dangerous and pretty much a last resort. A runway or field come first.

I also like the inability to understand the flight path that was briefly shown - it was so chaotic because the pilot was just flying around burning fuel. And, yes, planes can make turns sharp enough that they would show up as right angles when plotted on a map.

And finally the amazement at the number of videos - it didn't occur to them that the pilots had known for some time that the landing gear was failing to go down and people had plenty of time to show up to watch the plane crash land.

And they don't even consider the question of where you'd expect to find emergency personnel who are specifically trained to deal with air plane crashes.


These guys really are clueless.
