The new Machete? That explains everything. Sheen's name change is obviously a stunt to support the movie.

Carlos Estevez is his actual name. His grandfather was from Spain. His brother, Emilio Estevez, is rather well known, as is his father, Ramon Estevez (better known as Martin Sheen).

I knew that, but ,except as a cheap publicity gimmick for Machete 2, why would the individual in question change his name after all this time?

That actually surprises me.

Charlie looks so much like his father, that they did an ad using that fact as a joke. (It was a check card commercial, where Charlie tried to use a check, but it took so long, that by the time the check was approved, he was Martin)

Emilio does look a little different, but the family resemblance is still strong.

And the three have almost identical voices. One of the most frustrating things I ever heard was a radio interview with all three (or possibly just Charlie and Emilio). Each person had to identify themselves every time they started speaking because otherwise a radio audience would not know.

That his brother Emilio was determined to make it on his own.

You know a funny thing was, listening to Charlie's segment on the Alex Jones Show.

He said on the evening of Sept. 11, 2001, he went to Emilio's home for dinner. That while they were on the "deck" he told Emilio, "You might say I'm totally insane to say this," but the collapse of the towers (that both had watched on TV that day) seemed to him (Charlie) to be "a controlled demolition."

Charlie told Alex that his brother responded, "Well if you think what would have to be involved to do that, yeah it's impossible."

I like Emilio better.

Ditto, and yet another great movie from the 80s that is rated R. This is frustrating for a dad of young teens who "need" to see these masterpieces before being sent out into the cruel world . . . they think Eddie Murphy's best work is as the voice of a donkey!
