So I have to wait for an answer but here goes the question anyway;

Why if John Edward is so good and so accurate with his reading did he, In the video posted earlier in the thread, have to make one of the broader statements I've seen a cold reader make: "I'm getting a J name connection somewhere in the family and I'm seeing this (Motions above his head to the right then below) which means older then you, the same age and below meaning their younger."

Why does John Edward need to make such broad general statements ?

I'm willing to bet right now the poster below me will have J name connection in their family that's either older, younger or around the same age as them.

Quelle surprise. My father's name is John. One of the most common forenames.
Still, it would be a matter of common courtesy to allow Robin to respond, and to refrain from dogpiling in her enforced absence. She has not the right of reply right now. Let it rest, the nonsense can be dismantled in a week or so.

Even if you, as I do, think it an absolute safari of malarkey, it is unfair to blast it across those who cannot reply. Be fair. Let it lie for a few days.

First, I don't believe a few posts is "piling on".

Second, Robin agreed to abide by the same rules we all did, and she had the choice, as we all do, to avoid suspension. So, discussing either her need to cling to her fantasies in this thread, or, more generally, the tricks of cold reading, is not out of line. She CHOSE to put herself in the position of not being able to participate.

If she’s still interested in the thread she will still be reading. A week is quite a long time when waiting so don’t you think it’s a good idea to give her something to read to help fill in the time? Maybe even JE is a frequent reader here. After all it’s all about him and he really likes that subject.

If the likes of JE and SB have been given the “gift” of communicating from the living to the dead wouldn’t it follow they would also have the "gift" the other way when they die? At least more than “normal” dead people would have. Don’t think I’ve ever heard a living “psychic” claiming they’re talking to a dead one. Why don’t dead “psychics” conduct group communications with the living? Guess it might have something to do with the dead not being able to receive payments.

My brother (older) is Jim. Well it's Arthur James actually, but everyone calls him Jim.

I have a daughter named Jodie who is (not surprisingly) younger than I.

Two hits for the price of one.

Oh, and one of my older sister's best friends in her youth was named Jenny, and now one of my friends is also a Jenny (younger than I) . That can't be a coincidence. How do you know all this?

I also have an older brother whose first name is Arthur but whose middle name is James and who has always been called Jim. Such an astonishing coincidence must obviously be hugely significant. What do you think our dead relatives are trying to tell us?
 
My middle name begins with a J, as does my younger sister's. My mother's name begins with J, and my sister is about to marry a man whose name begins with J. As if that wasn't enough, when I was young I had a cat whose name began with J.

ETA: Ooo, I forgot one. My mother's maiden name (and therefore the name of her whole family) also begins with .... a J!!!

ETA again: I forgot about my father's brother, whose name too begins with ... do I need to go on?
