Continuation Part 5: Discussion of the Amanda Knox/Raffaele Sollecito case

Hellman's verdict just got tossed by the Supreme Court over there so it's silly to keep referring to it. Hellman argued that there was no way that two white college kids, who he calls "good fellows", would have anything to do with "the other", the black guy. That sounds like the most racist and dumb judicial decision of all time to me yet you cite this man as though he is some great mind we should marvel at.

I think it is likely the maid was talked to by rich boy's dad could she clearly changed her tune on the bleach. Se was ever threatened or bribed in my view.

Interesting take, I noticed you didn't actually address the facts, just moved on and made another unsubstantiated accusation about the maid that nobody makes at all including the prosecution and the Perugian Police.

Never mind that the police themselves admit that the bleach found at Raffaele's place were two unopened bottles. Are they lying and were bribed too?

As for the Supreme Court, they overruled Hellmann based on Italian law after a 1 day hearing. The court did not address any of the facts in the case only the law.

What is 100 percent clear is that you have no interest in discussing any of the facts and how it pertains to the guilt or innocence. Instead, you just make rants and repeat things that have been proven to be false.

you don't strike me as being open to the evidence against Knox at all. you dismiss the lamp as almost trivial. the lamp IS evidence of her being in the room. your logic is so circular but you seem unaware of this.

I never claimed to have cornered the market on truth, enlighten me on my circular logic, perhaps I'm overlooking something

the police said his house smelled of bleach and the knife appeared to have been cleaned extensively. It was very very clean, which seemed odd. again, the maid said she was told never to use bleach while cleaning. if no bleach had been used, why did the house smell of bleach?

No jury over there is going to find her innocent if all the evidence is looked at. Knox knows that, too. that's why she's done so much PR over here b/c they would to gin up public support to oppose extraditing her to Italy.

Lol, I dont care what you think nor do I want to convince you of anything. You can believe whatever you want, its no skin off my butt. I'm trying to determine what I think the truth is in this case and I find it troubling in many respects and even outlined several issues in a post above that I felt didn't bode well for her.

your post read like you want to pretend to be reasonable and acknowledge some problems with Knox's defense but you still sneer at people who think she's guilty. it seems like a contrived tact a lot of the FOA take, pretend like it's just all too confusing too sort out so they should find her innocent, reasonable doubt. You seem real smarmy to me.

You can't see how anybody can draw conclusions on Amanda Knox's lamp being found on the floor of the victim's locked bedroom? How about Knox used it in her cleanup effort and then she forgot that she left it in there?

Ahhhh...the lamp...something that is only brought up on these forums. Why do you think that is true Doctor? You do know that the lamp was not mentioned at all during any of the court proceedings? Not once. Now what does that tell you? That the only people that suggest that Amanda's lamp is something nefarious are guilters. I've seen people speculate that one of the police brought it into the room to help them see, but that is pure speculation. What is known to be a fact is that the lamp means nothing in this case.

Want to argue another guilter meme that is either fictional or irrelevant?

Is anyone here from "outside of the states" and thinks she's innocent?

you read everything as a literal translation. my point is majority of people in Italy and other countries think she's guilty. she's wrapping herself up in the American flag, and that lame tactic is only going to work here, although it hasn't worked all that well for her b/c most americans don't know much about her. i'm embarrassed this babe is from America and claims to represent this country. forget that. she needs to fly on on her own and stop dragging her fellow citizens into her mess..

that's not true, brother. I read the testimony and Knox was asked about the lamp at least once, and I think it was actually several times. She claimed she didn't notice the lamp was missing from her room. don't question my memory again b/c I will find the transcript and post it on here and embarrass you further if you go that route.
if the lamp wasn't brought up and they still found her guilty it's b/c there is overwhelming evidence in this case. she should be thanking the prosecuter for not making it a big deal if you are right about this. the lamp would be the lynchpin evidence in a lot of murder cases.

Lol, you are a funny guy and apparently a mind reader, you should take your skills to Vegas and get rich!

Post where I sneered at anyone for thinking she's guilty and perhaps I'll retract the statement or edit it so that it doesn't come across as a "sneer". My disagreement with someone's position on guilt was not intended to be a sneer but perhaps the mere act of disagreeing with someone is a sneer in your mind and if so, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Which officer said that? Name the officer. Also if the house smelled of bleach, why were both bottles unopened? Keep trying.

Then drop the hyperbole and say what you mean, thats why i disagreed with you when you said nobody believes she is innocent outside of the states.

Please go ahead. If I'm wrong, I'll own up to it. But I'm not. No evidence about the lamp was ever introduced. It is not mentioned in either the Massei or Hellmann report.

Only Knox supporters will argue that her lamp being found on the floor of the locked bedroom of the victim is in no way incriminating of the owner of the lamp who is accused of being involved in the murder. she's got really bad luck or somebody really wanted to frame this babe for reasons that are not clear. but sure looks like Rudy got the hell out of there after the murder b/c his bloody footprints head straight to the door but mayve he returned to place Knox's lamp in the room and take a dump. Anything possible when spinning for Amanda. LOL

could it be possible they bought several bottles of bleach and didn't use them all? the fact the house smelled of bleach means bleach was used, and the knife was cleaned with something.

the reports don't bring up everything that is talked about in the trial. she was asked about the lamp. You are so dumb, dude. this website is supposed to celebrate logic but you are on seriously pretending that the lawyers didn't ask her about her lamp being in the victim's room? You really think this lawyers are that dumb? they were all over the lamp, dude.

Dude, you think this weird guilty looking babe with no alibi is innocent so if you want to walk me through your logic as to why I should care

I'd love to hear it. You are not a bright guy if you think this babe is innocent. Too much evidence against her.

You keep saying that Amanda doesn't have an alibi when in fact, she has the same alibi as Filomena. The were both were with their boyfriends. Ms. Popovic spoke to her about 8:45 at Raffaele's flat. Meredith was killed within the hour of that time. The one person who definitely was involved in the murder said Meredith was killed around 9:30. The DVR had a time stamp at 9:10 and another at 9:35.

Amanda was supposed to be at work, having the night off was unexpected. Raffaele was supposed to have been taking his neighbor Ms. Popovic to the train station. And after both of these events they were lucky enough to have an evening together. But instead of spending the night like most 20 year old couples would have watching a movie and screwing each other's brains out, they did what? And since neither made or received a call or text from Rudy. How'd they hook up?

What do you think happened? Amanda said, well, we have the whole evening to blow so how about you and me and this other guy go down and murder my roommate? How do you think that would have gone over with her new boyfriend of 7 days?

NO,in fact no one involved in prosecuting the case says that the lamp has anything to do with this crime. If it was, it would have been introduced during the trial. Keep trying...

the boyfriend isn't supporting her alibi, surely you understand this by now. the boyfriend also had nothing supporting him being home all night, he claimed to be on his computer all night but no his computer usage didn't back that up.

Rudy didn't have a cell phone. I have no idea how they meet up with him but since Rudy did have a social life he did find ways to contact people. It is possible they just saw him while heading back to the house and invited him over. they did know rudy, and they all smoked pot, so this isin't some improbable event.

if we go with your callow logic, nobody ever commits murder, b/c wound't it be more fun to just have sex or do drugs, etc? you argue like murder makes sense. both Knox and her idiot "boyfriend" are abusing drugs so their judgement isn't that good to begin with and she's clearly got some emotional issues. she didn't like her roommate and her roommate didn't like her. I think it was about teaching Meridith a lesson but I think it's silly to speculate about the motive too much. the reality is she has no alibi, not even from her boyfriend as you claim. that's incriminating b/c the dead girl is her roommate. surely you understand this.
