Exactly. I confronted more than one person on FB Monday night who made comments to the effect that "we're at war with them now", to which I responded "Who is 'them'?"

No one ever answered. Can't help fools :rolleyes:

Okay, I know we work cheap, but...you are going to trust your conspiracy to a bunch of liberal arts majors?

Bombs are a LOT cheaper. And they don't get drunk and talk about who hired them to pretend to get their legs blown off, or get shot in a movie theater.

This site calls it a hoax.

When I tried to find an image of the likely-faked photo with the "Donna, few blocks from explosion" caption, I stumbled on this site.

It describes a runner, Donna Bruce, who was a few blocks from the explosion.

Donna Bruce is not at all the same as Dawn Hochsprung.

Governments tell lies to their citizens. All of them. We know this. That does not mean that everything the government does or says is a lie.

When you were a child, your parents told you lies. There were various reasons they did this but does knowing that fact mean they told you nothing but lies? Of course not.

Assuming everything is a lie and nothing is done without malicious intent is just base paranoia.

I'm coming up against a lame CT stating that it was a drill gone wrong. A drill with pressure-cooker bombs with live explosives, nails, BB's, and armed detonators at major public event? Oh yes. Theres no accounting for crazy.

I can only comment on this from a UK perspective. Over the past 40 years or I have have experienced bag searches, pat down searches and sniffer dogs in London. Not only have these happened at large sporting events but also on occasions such as theatre visit (stage or film) and large tourist attractions.
I suppose that the police / security forces think that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". I tend to agree with them.

The main exception to this are people who become so obssesed and full of hatred of politicians whose politics they oppose that they
A. Are willing to believe anything evil about them or
B.Are willing to throw any garbage at them in hope that some of it will stick or
C. A combination thereof.

Thus you had people on the left buy into 9/11 Truth out of a hatred of Bush, and people on the right who buy into the Birther crap out of a hatred of Obama.

But trustbutverify's description is accurate for the hard core Conspiracy freak,for whom whoever happens to be in the White House or a position of power is one of THEM.

I know its probably a typo, given the keyboard proximity of the 's' and 'd' keys.
However it struck me that the addition of an 'h' to produce 'followherd' would be more apt.

I asked her where she heard it and she said "On the internet". I asked where and she said I don't know. I tried to google it but came up with nothing. I think she just made it up. Wouldn't be the first time.
