I had heard some speculations about that, but then saw an interview on CNN of a shop owner right at the blast, who said that people had come into the store and taken spools of yarn for makeshift torniquets. I think that or something similar is more likely. Still serving the same purpose, though.
 
And WSJ is saying 5 more devices that failed to explode.

Something seems off, here.

Correct. I've heard of runners taking their race belts off (race belts go around the waist to hold race numbers and sometimes small energy drinks/gels) and using it to help stop the bleeding.

Heroic. Just when you think you've lost all faith in humanity, you hear of stories like this.

The abortion clinic bombings could have easily killed patients who were there for non-abortion care, not to mention bystanders since one of them had a second bomb to kill responders.

It's a stupid distinction you are making. These idiots have some reason for their targets, not always a logical one.

I'm referring to the Alex Jones crowd. If this had happened in 2007 they would have been blaming it on W instead. They don't care about party lines, the govt is all controlled by some cabal according to these morons.

I don't think he meant that the doctors...etc at the abortion clinics weren't innocent but rather they were specifically targeted individuals based on a warped agenda. This differs from the truly random people who happened to be at the place where the bombs were put.

Unless of course we discover this targeted specific individuals, but this seems unlikely as hell.
 
I have heard speculation about a few groups who may have done it, but no mention of the possibility that first crossed my mind -- the guy that's been trying to make his mark in the world recently.
