Explosion at the Boston Marathon.

None of what PETA, anti-abortionists and the ALF have done is an attack "of this nature." That is, targeting innocent, unrelated victims, and killing or wounding dozens.

They all planned attacks, and attempted to make them a reality. They were convicted for this. Does it not count if the LEAs manage to stop it before it happens?

I think you're reaching, and I'm not sure why you want to deny that right wing terrorism has been a fact in the US for at least thirty years.
 
I'm thinking lone nut with an axe to grind. The kind of guy who would shoot up a mall or a school, but is either more explosive proficient than guns, or didn't have a death wish but rather just wanted to inflict pain and suffering while he cowered away at home.
 
I confidently predict that at least half of what we're hearing will turn out to be wrong by tomorrow.

Mayor Menino and Gov. Patrick's press conference just wrapped up. Spokesman said the JFK library did not have an explosion @ 4:30, BPD incorrectly released that statement. The library incident was a fire @ 3:00 that may have been an incendiary device, there were no injuries.

I'm not reaching. The right wing attacks never happened. You are reaching by implying that it's a big problem. I'm saying that there have (thankfully) been no successful attacks of this nature by right wing groups in the US. Random attacks (even the failed ones) are not in their MO.

At this point it could be anything from international terrorism to some guy who signed up for the race and flipped out because they wouldn't let him have his lucky number...

They were planned. They lead to trials. People were convicted. Just because the planned event never happened - due to LEA activity - doesn't mean you get to just discount it.

I'll agree that all successful attacks from right wing terrorism have been different from this. The planned attacks that never happened due to being stopped by LEAs could have been exactly like this, based on the case evidence.

So, my point still stands.

That one is terrible. For anyone who over-estimates their capacity to handle such things, be aware that it's a picture of a guy whose lower legs have been blown off and are hanging in shreds. His life has been changed drastically and permanently by this horrendous act.
