Explosion at the Boston Marathon.

oh and you know those lunatics are hard at work, cobbling together as many unrelated statements from as many different sources as they can find into a unified theory of why this was done by Obama......:boggled:

I'll be more generous than that. Some radical hardcore Tea Party types will do that, but I guess most of them are just as sad and horrified as I am about this goddamn mess. You know, they're human.

Apparently sniffer dog searches were carried out prior to event down the street,so much for them he? Unless it was two suicide bombers seems likely to be trashcan or left rucksacks? Not seen any images from hotel yet, have I missed them?

Small devices too, relatively small casualties,so unlikely to be al-queada.

Actually, AQ is known for small but powerful backpack sized devices. IED's are typically very small, relatively speaking. Also, something like these devices could have been brought in after the dogs did their sweep, and if activated by cell phone calls (which AQ and Taliban both have done) could have been two people, or even one.

I can't remember if it was on CBS or NPR but people in the hospitals are being questioned. The report said that bombers don't always get away from the explosion.

Its a SWAT team going into one on Hospital, but they could be looking for evidence, or any one of a number of things. Naturally including having a suspect....

something good and useful NEEDS to be the final result of this incident. With FSM or God as my witness if we launch a 10-year useless war against somebody who had nothing to do with this I will jump off of a :rule10: bridge.

I can think of something good: donate to the Red Cross.

A brief news report I saw also said they were looking into reports of a guy on a roof (caught on video) watching below about the time of the explosions.

That the Oklahoma City bombing happened on the 19th wasn't an accident, as I've heard it. McVeigh chose that day because the Waco siege ended that day.
It was also the day that the turd whom the Elohim City terrorists considered a messiah was executed for murder. McVeigh had ties to John Trochmann, and Trochmann had made all sort of statements about what a bad day that was for the state to take any action against dissident groups.

The multiple devices are much in keeping with domestic terror tactics. They like to target first responders.

Some nut on another site is saying it's Somali pirates getting revenge, and this will be pretext for invading Somalia.

Dear evil Jebus, I wish the news media would cut this crap out. So far I've heard about a "Saudi national" who was "acting suspiciously" because he was running away from the frakkin' bombing after it happened; a dark-skinned guy with a "foreign accent"; now a "guy on a roof" watching the race at the time the bombs happened to go off. Why don't they just report facts and cease with the damned speculation and innuendo?!

Talk about trying to fill up the news hole

The Google image that Oystein posted shows a Starbucks. Nice place to sit and look for an opportunity to stash something in the trash can. Walking two blocks with a device and stuffing it in a can might draw attention. Not so much after you have just gotten up from having a snack and deposited the residues in the trash.

Haven't seen anything suggesting this on my FB page yet (plenty of wacko Tea Party supporters on my list). It's mostly quiet, actually... a few expressions of dismay, and that's about it.

...then again, maybe they haven't got the memo on what they should think yet.

The FBI is calling it a Terrorist Attack, but have no leads as to who was responsible.:

From CNN:
"Initial tests indicate that the two bombs were small and possibly crude, with the tests not indicating any high-grade explosive material was used, a federal law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation told CNN national security contributor and former homeland security adviser Fran Townsend.

The source said the FBI considers the incident a terrorist attack, "but they've made clear to me they do not know at this time whether those responsible for the attack were a foreign or domestic group," Townsend said.

Seems far too incompetent for international terrorists. Not, mind you, that that's a good thing. Duh.

The president had this to say:

President Obama said:
We still do not know who did this or why, and people shouldn't jump to conclusions before we have all the facts.

I couldn't agree more.

Counterterrorism officials found what they believe to be five additional, undetonated explosive devices around the Boston area, according to two people briefed on the rapidly moving investigation.
Wow.
