Explosion at the Boston Marathon.

Unfortunately, media speculation combined with normal police investigative techniques will add fuel to the CT ,nutjob, fire and you can bet your bottom dollar that the "false flag" crap is already being cried out across yee olde interwebz.

It is. There are plenty of links over in the CT forum.

And it looks like so far, the police and FBI have nothing solid, and are basically trying to follow every lead they can right now (the Saudi national wounded in the bombing, the recent BOLO, the Penske truck thing earlier).

Oooops.

But really, the need to rush to point this towards a particular political ideology is just immature, and sad.:(

Full disclosure: I had a knee-jerk reaction to want to blame the Tea Party, seeing as how this took place on Tax Day in Boston (my brain was going "Boston Tea Party"). But then I thought better of it.

Curse my tribal inclinations

I suspect that many people had similar reactions, who also thought better of it. Then there's the Alex Jones types.

oh and you know those lunatics are hard at work, cobbling together as many unrelated statements from as many different sources as they can find into a unified theory of why this was done by Obama......:boggled:

I won't lose my faith in the human race just because a small minority of nutcases do stuff like that.

This ^

Also, just think of all the people (first responders plus good Samaritans) who ran into the carnage to help save people. I'm going to hold onto that fact.

something good and useful NEEDS to be the final result of this incident. With FSM or God as my witness if we launch a 10-year useless war against somebody who had nothing to do with this I will jump off of a :rule10: bridge.

You may be right. We'll find out soon enough. Hopefully.:(

I haven't seen it online anywhere, but they're talking about it on the CNN broadcast. It was a dark-skinned or black man who tried to get into a restricted area about five minutes before the bombs went off and when he couldn't get in apparently "broke eye contact" and pulled a hoodie lower over his head, and may have had a foreign accent.
