Continuation: Discussion of the George Zimmerman case

Of course you have evidence of this, right ?

Yes, the evidence is the photo taken an hour later that doesn't show the same swelling. There was no ice placed on his nose, was there? No miraculous healing that would decrease swelling after an injury? Come on now.

I didn't make it up, I confused it with his bandmate Berry Oakley, who died in almost the same spot in another motorcycle accident shortly after:

Sorry for my confusion, but the point stands - you can suffer a fatal skull fracture and not even realize anything major is wrong.

Which is why, in spite of what's shown on numerous TV programs and movies, most people don't just bounce back up and continue their daily lives. Even a minor hit on the head can lead to brain swelling and bleeding. If GZ had actually had his head slammed into the concrete repeatedly, which I do not believe happened, there was serious potential for damage to his brain. SZ was training to be a nurse and I can't believe she didn't insist he go to the ER when he was released from the PD.

I'll be willing to bet a crab leg dinner that GZ wishes he hadn't refused to go the ER with the EMT. So many things that look peculiar about his physical injuries would not be a mystery if he had.

Unfortunately, during his Hannity interview, GZ said he wouldn't do anything differently that night. That won't go over well in some regards.

I respectfully disagree. I feel that my level of scrutiny is warranted.
You don't understand why I could be skeptical? What blackness he has had under his eyes in any picture is pretty much indestinguishable from the same as lost sleep. I think asking for additional verification that it wasn't a sleep related issue is sensible. And given that black eyes take a day or so to develop, how was anyone able to diagnose black eyes the night of?

No one claimed to have diagnosed the night of. Perhaps you are not being overly skeptical, but simply don't have your facts straight. You keep claiming things like the hiliited, and below.

Why not? Zimemrman has consistently embellished his injuries. Do you really think slamming someone's HEAD into concrete thirty times would only result in superficial injuries? Any skull fractures? Why not?

Because, as I pointed out earlier, this was never claimed:
No one, including GZ, claimed that happened. No wonder you have a hard time believing things.

I think we all have every reason to be skeptical in this case. Not just skeptical of zimmerman, but skeptical about the whole darned thing.

#EDIT: Ok, not sure where I came up with the thirty times bit. So what was zimmerman's claims regarding the head smashing? Refresh my memory?

#EDIT2: Skeptical of the fish eye lens hypothesis as well. I don't think a fish eye lens would be that selective.

I don't recall hat he enumerated the number of times his head was hit into the sidewalk, just that it was.

I hilited the words fish eye ... because that's what I wanted evidence of.

All the people who actually spoke with GZ refer to his swelling of his face. Whether you can discern it in a picture is irrelevant.

Ok, so feel free to correct me with specifics. I don't pretend to be aware of all the facts of the case. Mainly I just follow along on this thread here. And even then just sporadically.

So when was Zimmerman diagnosed with black eyes, and by whom? What do the pictures before and after show? How long did the black eyes remain? And what did Zimmerman say specifically about getting his head slammed into the sidewalk or ground?

Zimmerman mentioned the 25-30 punches at some point, because he got called out on it.

Or serino just pulled a number out of his ass. He made things up during the interview, such as TM recording everything on his phone.

So, no, not taking that as proof that at some point, that we have no record of for some reason, GZ said that number.

And yet we have photographic evidence taken with high quality cameras that show no swelling at all, or very minimal swelling. Therefore, it stands to reason that the camera phone added distortion to the image.

It's a well known problem with cheap cameras:

No doubt the State of Florida will be calling you as their expert photographic witness to destroy the credibility of those incompetent medical "experts" who examined Zimmerman.

It was an iPhone. iPhone has no issue with fish eye problems. You just made up that the the picture has some kind of fish eye issue out of thin air.

"Or serino just pulled a number out of his ass."

And Zimmerman was too stupid to say, "hey, I never said 25-30 times."

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

I'm going to be honest - that's not a very compelling offer. You say whatever you think is true, and it's up to me or someone else to follow behind and correct you ?

So when was Zimmerman diagnosed with black eyes, and by whom?
His doctors office, the next day. It was not a doctor, but a PA (that distinction is very important to some people) The complete diagnosis was posted by phonebook as a link a page or two back.

What do the pictures before and after show?
Dr. office didn't take pictures, afaik. There are no "here is the black eye picture" because anyone who interacted with - Serino, singleton, etc - can all vouch that they saw him with a black eyes from his broken nose.

How long did the black eyes remain? And what did Zimmerman say specifically about getting his head slammed into the sidewalk or ground?

I don't know how long the black eyes remained.

As to what he said - he gave a written statement, 2 or 3 interviews, and a video walkthrough. Links have been posted to all of those throughout the thread.

Still an argument from incredulity, and still not proof GZ said that.

That nose looks mighty asymmetrical...

And what could that mysterious red substance be in the photo on the left? He must have been munching on a jelly doughnut or something. :boggled:

I didn't make it up. I compared it to a professional photo taken an hour later. Just because you refuse to admit what your eyes tell you doesn't make that my problem.

There is no fish eye in that picture.
The iphone camera does not have fish eye issues.

IIRC, the fear for his life was based on TM reaching for GZ's gun, and not any beating he was (or was not) enduring.

So if Z hadn't brought a gun he wouldn't be in fear of his life?
