and yes what has the existance of multiple flu strains and new ones appearing every year have to do with autism?
 
The parents of Valentino Bocca have been awarded 112,000 Euro to be paid by the Italian ministry of health. They are now seeking a further 800,000 Euro in a civil case. The story is a tragic one, Valentino, developing normally, was given the shot at 14 months and started to suffer from diarrhea, lost interest in food and within a few days lost the ability to use his spoon. Worse was soon to come when he began to be restless at night, screaming in pain for hours. It was later found that he was suffering from a painful bowel condition that is common in autistic children. With an adjusted diet of no wheat or milk, he was able to sleep but the autism symptoms continued, and even at the age of nine, he still does not speak.

The case featured three expert witnesses that concurred that "barring preexisting conditions there was a reasonable scientific probability that the MMR jab had triggered Valantino's condition." Judge Lucio Ardigo agreed that it was "conclusively established" that Valentino had suffered from an "autistic disorder associated with medium cognitive delay" and his illness, was linked to receiving the shot. The Italian shot has the same ingredients as the one used in the UK and US.

In 2003, after 10 years work, legal aid was withdrawn from over 1,000 parents claiming damages in a suit in which Dr Andrew Wakefield was to appear as an expert witness. In 2004 Deer wrote an exposé of Wakefield that was full of concoctions, half truths and fantasies and which claimed that the children examined by the team at the Royal Free were not ill. Deer's distorted pharma--imaginings became the basis of over 80 charges leveled against Dr Wakefield and three other doctors to be 'tried' by the General Medical Council (GMC). The hearing took place over three years between 2007 and 2010 and became one of the longest regulatory hearings ever held in Britain. Brian Deer, the centre of the whole plot, did not give evidence.

Andrew Wakefield, the doctor struck off the medical register for his discredited research that claimed to find a link between autism and the MMR vaccine, can add another honour to his list this Christmas: the inaugural Golden Duck award for lifetime achievement in quackery, set up by the science writer Simon Singh.

Runners-up for the award were Prince Charles and David Tredinnick, the Tory MP for Bosworth and member of the Commons health select committee. The Good Thinking Society, a campaign group led by Singh, set up the annual Golden Duck award to recognise those "who have supported or practised pseudoscience in the most ludicrous, dangerous, irrational or irresponsible manner".

Isn't odd that the CDC is finally fessing up the flu vaccine isn't working for seniors?
October, November, December, January? Surely the October statistics should hinted that the flu vaccine wasn't working and the the CDC should have notified the public. Even more so for November, December, January.

As flu vaccine policy-critical as I am, I fail to see what this could possibly have to do with your claim that vaccines, specifically MMR causes autism.

A court decision based upon Wakefield''s fraudulent research and that is being contested because it was such a poorly-evidenced decision.

Perhaps I am a dumb person, I've been accused of at least as much in the past. However, I fail to understand how the results of a court case are relevant to proving a causal link between vaccination and autism. Were this a court of science instead of a court of law, perhaps I could more clearly decipher the correlation between the two. However, my understanding is that law exists independently of science and vice versa. It has been rumored that judges, as well as juries, are indeed fallible. I would like to share the idea that perhaps a court decision is only proof of applied law and not of facts. Then again, the possibility remains that I am simply a dumb person.

By the way, if big medicine is watching, I'll take my big check now.

Well that is sure convenient. Since you put so much stock into court decisions (I don't) what do you make of Michelle Cedillo's parents' claim that she became autistic after her MMR jab but what was actually discovered? Surely you know of this case being so much more intelligent than I and knowing all of these parents' stories.

Mr Moore it is no lie that wakefield is a fraud, it is no lie he has been struck off, it is no lie he is individaully responsible for suffering.
