Vaccine/autism CT discussion

Speaking of the rise in diagnoses, I have one close relative who, just a few years ago and at age (roughly) 48, was diagnosed with as having an ASD. I know of several more similar adults. I wonder if these people might be included in the some of the statistics for new diagnoses. I wonder why an adult might be receiving a diagnosis now, and not as a child. Could it possibly be due to more awareness?

For good measure, I wonder why the nastier cuts and abrasions I got as an adventurous little kid didn't cause all kinds of silent injuries. Surely when I got a dirty pebble embedded in my skin it introduced orders of magnitude more antigens and immune stimulating substances than the nine vaccines that are causing so much horror. If not that, then surely the time I caught my leg on the rusty corner of an old jungle gym, gashed my shin, and fell in the dirt---surely that would have been too much too soon. I wonder why they didn't cause any systemic problems, despite having been nasty and, in the case of the pebble, sufficient to cause an unpleasant local infection.

9% effective. Some science.

Waiting for the CDC to recommend I get 11 flu shots or 12 to be on the very safe side.

Only for the top age group. Are you over 65?

For all ages who were vaccinated, there was a 56 percent chance of avoiding getting sick with the flu from any of the three strains in circulation. Generally a flu vaccine is considered pretty good if it's more than 60 percent effective.

Waiting for Clayton Moore to actually understand what he cites :jaw-dropp!
This season's flu shot seemed to do little to protect people over 65 from the worst and most dominant flu strain spreading around, a small government study found. Vaccinated people in that age group had only a 9 percent lower chance of going to the doctor with flu symptoms from the main virus than people who didn't get the shot.
The vaccine was much better at protecting younger people.
Q: If the flu shot did such a poor job for older folks, why should they get it?
A: Government doctors and other health experts say it's better than nothing. And some scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention think it's possible that even this less effective vaccine may have lessened symptoms. But they don't know that for sure.
Q: How well did the vaccine work for younger age groups?
A: It offered "moderate" protection, the CDC says. For all ages who were vaccinated, there was a 56 percent chance of avoiding getting sick with the flu from any of the three strains in circulation. Generally a flu vaccine is considered pretty good if it's more than 60 percent effective.
...
The article does not have a explicit link to the study but it looks like a rehash of the What You Should Know for the 2012-2013 Influenza Season article by the CDC.

CM, do actually read the articles you post up?
"Q: Why was the shot especially weak at protecting older people?

A: Older, worn-out immune systems have a harder time responding to flu vaccines. Protection for those over 65 is considered good if they have a 30 or 40 percent lower chance of getting sick enough to see the doctor. This year, the vaccine provided about 27 percent protection against all three strains - but again, for the most dominant virus it was only 9 percent effective. On the upside, for people in their 50s and early 60s, protection against the worst virus was actually 50 percent."

Out of curiosity, what was the connection to autism there, other than the one posted earlier that suggests a link between a pregnant woman getting the flu and an increased likelihood of autism in her child.

9% effective for seniors. 56% effective for the young folk. What does the effectiveness of a random flu vaccine on the elderly have to do with any conspiracy?

For Clayton the whole world is one vast web of conspiracies, run by the evil Jooz.

And how does this relate to the proof that autism is caused by vaccination?

=========
BTW, that's efficacy in >65 year age group. With the efficacy being much higher in the younger groups, there is some "cocoon" effect against the Group A strain.

Current thought is that 1955 epidemic of A flu interfered with the vaccine in this age group. It's a known problem with immunity (natural or induced).

I've posted plenty of evidence. I hope you don't wake up too late.

What you have posted shows that your standards for evidence are extremely low. And that's funny, the guy in a lunatic fringe cult telling someone else to wake up. :p BTW When will it be too late?

Evidence what evidence Mr Moore all I have seen you post are links to whacko websites, youtube videos or articles you have not read through fully that turn out to not support your case at all.

You have to be really smart to post links that say the opposite of what you are claiming. I wish I could do that.

Isn't odd that the CDC is finally fessing up the flu vaccine isn't working for seniors?
October, November, December, January? Surely the October statistics should hinted that the flu vaccine wasn't working and the the CDC should have notified the public. Even more so for November, December, January.

Wow, people are getting the flu even though there's a flu vaccine available. There must be a conspiracy! None of the factors that could have caused this, such as multiple flu strains that are not vaccinated against, or the amount of people who chose not to be vaccinated against the flu, or those whose flu vaccinations did not take effect, none of those factors are important because people are getting the flu when there's a flu vaccine available! It's amazing that the evil government-controlled propaganda machine CDC is even admitting this, after all, it's a conspiracy!

I also heard that there have been car crashes despite the safety measures in place to prevent them. What's the deal with Big Auto and these supposed "accidents"? We must look deeper!

And what does this have to do with any evidence that vaccines cause Autism?
