I'll have to thank you Janadele. Your actions go to great length to keep people from ever believing in the great con that is Mormonism.

When Joe Smith tried to pass off the Funeral Scroll as The Book Of Abraham,he was totally unware that just a couple of years before French Scholars had "Cracked" the Hieloglyphics Code, and could now read most Egyptian Texts. He thought he was safe because nobody could read the scroll. He was wrong. Within a couple of years, The Book Of Abraham was exposed as a fraud.

That in itself proves that he was never "a prophet of god". To anyone with a mind, that is.

Michael Rhodes , a BYU professor with an extremely impressive vita, is one of the experts who delved into the hieroglyphs of the papyri claimed as the source of Joseph Smith's translations. He agreed with other non-Mormons.

It doesn't matter if all of the texts/papyri were available, as your referenced previous post implied, does it Janadele?

I'm confused. Is he lying? What is his motive?
Persecution of Mormons, of course!

Janadele, before you became a Mormon yourself, how much time and energy did you spend persecuting the Mormons? How many lies did you spread about them? How may books did you publish for the sake of leading people away from the LDS before you decided to join them?

It's very human to feel prosecuted when you have to revise what you thought was the truth.

Luckily, those who admit the truth of things in their lives, have no need for you to be punished, or hated, or suffer eternal damnation.

In fact I just feel pity for you. Don't you know how special we, one of a kind cretures are in this universe? You, yourself, are creating and sustaning whatever it is you are. Are you peaceful? Tolerant? Awake?

All you have to do is allow your ego to admit it was wrong. Not really much of a persecution.

Janadele, please wake up.

A reminder that the topic of THIS thread is LDS, not "anti-Mormon" or "whatever". Those who have no interest in the actual Doctrines and Teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints should state their beliefs in a more appropriate thread.

But your beliefs are incorrect. I don't mean theologically or spiritually here. What you believe is factually incorrect.

ANother problem that LDS has it it's beleif that it's President is a "Prophet, Seer, and Revealator" whose word is directly inspired by God. The Catholic Church was smart enough to hedge Papal Infallibility with enough restrictions to give them a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card when the Pope made a mistake;the LDS was not that smart.

Of course.

A Prophet, Seer and Revelator, as was Joseph Smith, has far superior knowledge and inspiration... plus Revelation, from the Lord God and creator of this earth. His words are the truth.

So why did Smith and his god fella get it so wrong? The amount of *********** up that happened here is just astounding if a an all knowing being was responsible for this. I got to tell you, your god is a real idiot. I mean barley, in the New World? Swords that rusted? The god you worship is a complete **** up.

I repeat: The Pearl of Great Price is official Scripture and therefore official Doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Book of Abraham is a part of the Pearl of Great Price.
"A Translation of some ancient Records that have fallen into our hands from the catacombs of Egypt. The writings of Abraham while he was in Egypt, called the Book of Abraham, written by his own hand, upon papyrus."
See History of the Church, 2:235–36, 348–51.

Fine, but it's still incorrect. You believe something incorrect. Your doctrine is factually incorrect. Why then do you still believe it?

Yes, this.

May I suggest that you retire to a quiet place, and pray over this point? Allow your heart to open to this truth.

You may yet become a living, feeling human being.

Be at peace. I forgive you.

LOL more evidence that you have not read my past posts.

Christ on a cracker. The thread is almost 100 pages long. Give DragonLady a break for not remembering how much you knew about Mormonism before your life-changing burning in your bosom moment. At any rate, unless I'm misreading her post, I believe you didn't understand DragonLady's point.

Care to address the long list of anachronisms in the Book of Mormon?

I have always been a Christian, was raised an Anglican, fellowshipped with the Salvation Army. Assisted with the Billy Graham Crusades at the young age of eleven. Married in the Anglican Church. At home with my first child as a three month old baby, a knock came to my door. Though not knowing who was there, when the knock came, I was overwhelmed with a desire to open the door. Two young men stood there. I had no knowledge of them or why they were there, but the desire to speak with them was overwhelming. I had never before that even heard of the Book of Mormon, Latter-day Saints or the LDS Church. I was asked to read the first few chapters and to pray to Jesus Christ and enquire as to whether it was true. On doing so, a burning within and a flood of knowledge overcame my being, there was no denying the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon and the message the LDS Missionaries had delivered to my door personally to me from the Lord. I was told I was a "golden contact" and that the Missionaries, though not even in the area, had been inspired to travel specifically to my home.

LOL more evidence that you have not read my past posts.

I've read every post in this thread; and I've read at least some of the posts you've made elsewhere.

Why not just answer the question? Ball park figure; how many hours of your pre-LDS life did you spend leading people away from the One True Church? Two hours a week? Two hours a month? Everyday for one month of every year?

Your posts have made something very clear: Those who are not LDS are anti-LDS; and spend countless hours of their lives leading the LDS away from their Prophet and the The Truth.

Before you were LDS, you were anti-LDS. So...how many hours? How much of your time did you spend persecuting Mormons and attempting to prevent them from finding or following the True Path?

You've answered my other questions. You've made me feel rather special in that regard. Now answer this one.
