What I want is for common sense to prevail.
Then you would educate yourself on biology, read the copious links provided and contemplate them as someone who is truly interested in understanding.
You can't say that a single aspirin is dangerous for children and at the same time advocate and insist an infant be pumped with 8 vaccines in one session.
Step back and think about it.
We have Clay but it seems to be only you who, with zero knowledge of even rudimentary biology cannot fathom this and thinks it some kind of paradox.
There are so many additional substances accompanying vaccines that the immune system must deal with and evacuate. The vaccine premise is simple. A weakened or dead virus signals the immune system to create antibodies to fight the virus and possible future encounters with it.
What "substances" do you now consider so dangerous? What kind of ignoramus would even think that the immune system is responsible for "dealing with and evacuating" all vaccine excipients? If you don't even know what vaccine excipients are and how they are metabolised and/or excreted then how can you conceivably argue with those who do know this?
Don't you find it strange that parent after parent, year after year, says a week or so after the MMR shot their baby becomes autistic?
No because people like Wakefield have lied to them; he manufactured the timeframe which sadly, doesn't even correspond to the physiological response to the vaccine. Perhaps you should read Cedillo v. HHS which was the petitioners best test case for MMR-autism causation. The parents swore their daughter caught teh autistic cooties right after her MMR but home videos demonstrated that she had autistic behaviours several months prior. This was the best out of over 5,000 claimants and the parents still believe it.
Don't you find it difficult to believe that all of medical science can't figure out what autistic toddlers worldwide have in common?
No but we know it isn't the vaccines because researchers have looked in numerous countries and that's the one thing that isn't in common. You don't seem to grasp that autism is a spectrum disorder with multiple aetiologies. You know like cancer? Have all causes been elucidated for that?
The problem isn't the vaccine concept. The problem is the accompanying substances. It should be obvious in 2012 that the more accompanying substances pumped in to a toddlers body the more dangerous the ever increasing child vaccine schedule becomes.
Why don't you do us a favour and identify these scary "substances"? Why do you keep insisting on such rubbish when you have been presented with so many rational explanations and materials provided by you know, actual scientists and physicians?
My first concern with vaccines was the frequency and the combo vaccines.
Now I see the foreign substances not the vaccine concept are the cause of autism and an increasingly medically dependent and sickly population.
Right, keep shifting those goal-posts Clay as jdc pointed out. MMR failed, thiomersal failed, too many too soon failed and now you are on to other "substances" which you won't name. They might be scary to people like you but not so much to those who actually know what they are and what they do.
So do infections. And child neglect.
Most deaths from childhood diseases are the result of unsanitary conditions and being undernourished.
To some degree yes but that is still an argument in favour of preventing what diseases can be prevented via vaccination. The last measles epidemic in the U.S. had the same case fatality rate as pre-vaccine which was 1-3/1000. Some infectious diseases actually became worse in terms of complications due to improved living conditions like polio and rubella.
If a parent sees a child tugging at their ear day after day for a couple of weeks and the child becomes deaf in that ear that's child neglect.
Where?
If an American has an undernourished child that gets the measles and dies. Did the childhood disease cause the child's death?
Ultimately yes. What's your point? Infectious diseases don't just kill malnourished you know. What is the alternative to vaccination Clay? Why do you refuse to answer this question?
If there were 4 million cases of the measles and 500 deaths attributed to measles how many of those 4 million could have been undernourished or otherwise unhealthy?
Actually you can add a zero to that 400 or 500 as measles deaths were vastly under-reported. Why don't you tell us how many of these deaths were due to underlying causes Clay. I know of a U.S. study that examines this, perhaps you can find it being so all-knowing as you are.
