Oh, I get it. Moran was merely conducting his own personal sting operation.
Kindly stop trying to put words in my mouth, Robert. Deal with the argument I actually made, not the one you wish I had.
Amid all the nonsense you've spewed in this thread, you hold up O'Keefe's undercover conversation with Patrick Moran as "absolute proof" of voter fraud. You consider it strong evidence, however you're unable to deal with the fact that the only unlawful conduct proposed was proposed by O'Keefe through his confederate, not Moran. The investigation has so far failed to find any way Moran broke any laws, although both parties agree his actions were questionable and unwise, and therefore unsuitable for a national campaign.
And if we look at the rest of O'Keefe's almost desperate efforts to make a case for Democratic voter fraud, we find a long string of failed sting attempts, doctored evidence, and clearly unlawful activity on his part, such as impersonating an actual living person "just to get the story." Such desperation and dishonesty shows only how difficult it was in the 2012 election to find improper activity among the Democrats.
What about the other side?
A shop owner notices a car pulling in back of his store. On his security camera he watches the driver throw a bundle in his Dumpster. Curious, he retrieves the bundle and realizes it's voter registrations for Democrats. If their registrations had been destroyed, as was the driver's intent, those voters would not have been able to cast ballots on Election Day. He notifies the police, who trace the vehicle and determine that it belongs to an employee of a company hired by the RNC to conduct voter drives. Subsequent investigation reveals a systematic pattern on the part of this RNC contractor to prevent Democrats from voting or registering to vote. Arrests are made, as this clearly violates the law.
Do you see the difference? Moran is not known to have engaged in any unlawful or questionable activity
but for the enticement and entrapment of a muckraker. RNC-controlled operatives were purposefully engaged in deliberate unlawful activity of their own volition. They didn't require being enticed.
In addition to an absolute dearth of actual evidence, you are faced with the fact that the only significant unlawful electoral activity known to be committed in the 2012 federal election was committed by people either working for or sympathetic to the GOP. And thanks to your handwaving of the 1982 consent decree, the readers here are aware that the RNC has, in fact, been trying to win elections this way for at least the past 30 years.
