Ohio Romney Rally supporters speak out

I have no doubt at all. I see both sides attacking each other with this garbage every day. Really...great thread.

I haven't see this kind of hatred for Romney on the part of Obama supporters, more like a kind of disgust or disbelief or often ridicule that a guy can take so many opposing positions.

Do you have an example in mind of an Obama supporter with equally absurd garbage? I would be interested to see a few. I assume also that there are mindless Obama supporters, but I haven't seen any examples, other than that video about the teleprompter, which was merely tricking the people who were interviewed.

By the way, I felt that the man doing these interviews did a very good job.

ETA: Wow! Joe Biden just did a killer interview on MSNBC with Chris Matthews without once showing any hate or spouting any garbage lies.

Wow.

That lady at :55 was scary.

ETA: Churchill's 'five minutes with the average voter' comes to mind.

She wasn't so much scary as she was reeking of desperation. When you find yourself wishing for divine intervention, you pretty much don't have a leg to stand on.

What I'm more concerned about is how those invoking God's will are going to react to President Obama getting re-elected, as is most likely. I'm worried that they'll want to hew even more to the right in their delusion and panic.

My favorite thing about these interviews is when the interviewer asks people about Romney's plans they can't describe them. I also like how when they complain about "loss of freedom" they can't really articulate exactly what freedoms they've lost.

I'm sensing an "Anybody But Obama" vibe from a lot of those folks.

Maybe if you are safe in your privilege and doesn't have anything at stake.

What makes you think I am "safe in my privilege" and have nothing at stake?

I have plenty at stake, being a union guy and having gone toe-to-toe with Tea Party jerkoffs at the local level who attempted to break my union and screw with my livelihood.

I just don't like to get all wound up and overly-emotive about it.

I just find it hard to imagine a gay man enjoying the way right-wingers make his life "interesting" by denying him equal rights. I don't think a pregnant teenager would want to make the world "interesting" if that meant limiting her access to abortion. But who knows, maybe there were civil rights activists who thought the KKK made the world more diverse and interesting for them.

I think atheism used to describe anyone that wasn't a Christian at one point in history. So that lady is so old, maybe she's using the older definition. Thus, a person could be Muslim and atheist and communist at the same time.

I was golfing with a guy today that said, "if Obama wins i am moving to Mexico."

How that's going to help him is beyond me.

Agree.

I anxiously await the excuses.

:D

With Obama giving free health care, fat welfare checks, food stamps, our jobs, and drivers licenses to all the illegal immigrants, maybe golfer boy has some strategy for success that involves moving to Mexico and sneaking back into the US. :D
