Didn't Noll try to trick you into doing a walk for one of the documentaries?
What was the story with that?
It's possible I've misinterpreted your question. It took me some time to realize what Noll was all about. Up until that time I was cooperative with what he was doing. He allowed me to make a copy of CA-19 for which he had a latex mold. He allowed me to use various photographs.
During this period he was creating content for the Monsterquest TV show. He asked me to don a Bigfoot suit he had to create some "B roll" content. He said that later he would ask me what it was like to wear the suit. He wanted this video to be spooky and dramatic, so he wants to do this at dawn, as there might be a fog bank. Being summertime, I simply stayed awake all night to make it there by dawn.
This field had grasses as tall as I was, which is 6 feet. Noll's suit was pretty good, and fit fairly well. The problem was the eyes, which were not eye-holes at all! I had to look out from the NOSTRILS of this mask! So I'm slogging through 6' grasses, looking through NOSTRIL HOLES trying to see. I'm lucky I didn't fall and impale myself.
Some time passes, and he wants to interview me on camera about this. It begins to dawn on me that this interview makes no sense, as I can describe trying to walk in his suit through 6's grasses looking through nostril holes thusly: It sucked.
But at this point I'm still cooperative, and agree to do his interview. He asks all sorts of round-about questions, nothing to do with wearing his suit. Slowly it dawns on me that this was all a set-up; namely he wants me to admit on camera that it was tough to walk in his suit, and by extension that an actor in a suit at Bluff Creek would be unable to do so either. We ran out of time that afternoon, and I later confronted Noll on the phone about what I thought was dishonest treatment.
Not surprisingly, Noll's groupie publicly accused me of attempting to duplicate the Patterson film and failing. A complete and total LIE, but back then she was riding high amongst the 'Footers, and such lies were accepted.
About 3 seconds of this B-roll footage appears on one episode of Monsterquest. I've seen it, and I don't think it looks all that bad, considering the difficulty provided by the grasses and the eye-holes.
It's very flattering when someone comes along and tells you your work is valuable and needs to be "documented." Good con-men are good if they don't betray their true motives. I bought Noll's pitch at first, and I confess he had me believing he was simply after the truth. He's not after the truth, he's an opportunist who wants to generate pro-Bigfoot content for self-promotion.
