I did not get the date from thin air. Ama revealed that Jesus died on August 17 which I heard in 1983. I just checked if there is any ring of truth in it sixteen years after. Four years later of study, in 2003, I say that the date is true and correct.

Well, that's four years of study wasted. Ama is almost certainly wrong, as Ama has been wrong about many, many things and therefore does not meet your own criteria for the One True God.

And even if Jesus did die on August 17... So what? It doesn't matter. If he ever did exist, he's dead. You could claim that he had lime green skin, drove the fastest sports car in Jerusalem and could make sashimi platters appear out of thin air, and it still wouldn't matter. It's all just silly (and almost certainly false) stories about an ordinary person doing god-like things. Miracles don't really happen in the real world... Only in storybooks.

So if it makes you happy, Aristeo, cling to August 17 as if your very life depended upon it. I'm not going to bother. Even though I'm quite sure you're wrong, the actual date has no significance at all for Me. I'm simply not interested in analyzing the fine details of a piece of mythology that doesn't even interest Me.

On hearing about the award, Faid said "It's a serious book, not a joke... mathematically minded people use numbers to answer many questions, even questions that are not overtly mathematical."

Here's another hint, Aristeo: You shouldn't believe something just because you read it in a book. Robert Faid claimed that his work was scientific, but real scientists didn't believe him and "honoured" him with an Ig Nobel. This is a prize given to bad science, to particularly silly "research" that cannot and should not be duplicated.

I can enter any church, especially Christian church. I can pick out things that will be good for my soul and discard what will not.

Now Faid and Arguelles cannot both be right about the Mayan calendar. There is obviously some manipulation of the calendar dates ...

It is clear that somebody modified the New Testament in order to fit the supposed dates of the crucifixion and resurrection. It just appears to most of us that the alteration occurred in 1983, not 325.

I understand human memory can be fallible (sometimes very much so). But I would think that an event such as the speaking in tongues that occurred so soon after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus would not be subject to the collective memories of those involved getting it wrong by five months--nearly half a year. That would be like remembering September 11 occurred in February.

Rather than examine the claims directly, I'll cut to the chase. I don't believe that the spirit of Ama contains any revelations that have relevance to Christians. Given that Ka Apaz, who you believe channels Ama, who in turn you believe is Jesus (who Christians believe is the same God who created the universe) has said a great many things that are demonstrably wrong, I see no reason to accept anything said by Ka Apaz.

In my rather limited experience with Christian denominations I find that Roman Catholics are the least acquainted with the actual content of scripture. I attribute this to over a thousand years of additional stuff that the church has added to scripture and now teaches to its followers. Think of a cottage that over the years got turned into a house, then a fortified manor house, then a walled castle, and finally a palace. The original cabin may still be in there somewhere, but you can't see it for all the other construction that now surrounds it.

Hence you seem to be unaware of strong denouncements in the Pentateuch against listening to diviners, or the cautionary tale of King Saul seeking out a medium to communicate with the spirit of Samuel, or the commands in the book of the Revelation against adding to scripture.

Like your version of history which is at all odds with what we know from history, and like your pronouncements from Ka Apaz which are at all odds with reality (giant corpse collecting heiresses to non existent fortunes and the cancellation of the London Olympic games), your version of Christianity seems to be at odds with the commands and instructions of the Bible that you simultaneously believe to be infallible and wrong. Frankly, when it comes down to a choice between the Jesus of the Bible in whom you profess to believe and the ramblings of a blind medium, you've sided with the medium every time.

Your religion should be called Kaapazamaism. It will have a brief moment of relative obscurity in this world before vanishing completely.

If he did not exist, as many believe he could not have been crucified, and your whole discussion vanishes into a ball of logic.

So, show us SOME, ANY evidence that there was such a person. I bet you can't. And you won't even try. You will simply carry on in your la-la land existence where you are the only person on the Planet who is correct.
