I like that, blobru. It makes a positive suggestion and puts the ball squarely in their court. Two thumbs up.
I see a show scheduled for Monday but the description says nothing about psychics, nor does any show the rest of the week.

Sadly sometimes not even that.et me say this clearly - all a psychic does is give false hope
Good angle, Vic with the responsibility of the therapist in question.
I'm pondering writing them again and asking if they're enjoying the letters...just deciding how to phrase it, if I do.
Thanks!

Maybe they changed the schedule?? I don't know...she said it was for October 15th. Perhaps she meant they were taping it on October 15th.
I think they meant it was the date they were taping. That's why they came to you. They were looking for people who were available on Monday and they wanted you to do all the work of tracking them down.

Sadly, too many journalists are not really journalists. I have corresponded often with local journalists (a mid-size market) about their showcasing psychic frauds. I am consistently met with disdain or anger, but most often I am ignored completely. The show, and two of its producers have repeatedly showcased paranormal charades to the public. That alone indicates the host himself is far distant from selecting facts over perpetuating paranormal shams. Many TV show producers are both educationally ignorant and so highly arrogant that they long ago lost sight of the harm they do. Journalists they are not.
:Dear Dr. Phil,
I have recently learned you are taping a show about missing people and psychics. I am personally invested in a family whose 22-year-old son went missing in 2008. I am assisting this family with attempting to find their son. I have created a website: http://www.kevinhulse.com as well as appealed to Texas Equusearch to search the wooded area of his last known whereabouts and have also succeeded in having him listed in NamUs, a national registry for the missing.
Of all the things you, your show and your staff could do to help the families of the missing, giving psychics air time is the most harmful and dishonest possible. As someone who is actively involved with a missing person I feel it is important for you to re-examine the subject matter of this show.
There are a lot of people who watch your show and value you as an expert. Please do not lead these people astray. I feel it is your duty, as a public figure, to have integrity with regard to what you choose as topics for your show. You and I both know there is no credible evidence in support of psychic abilities. Moreover, there is evidence of the harm psychics cause to grieving families and the problems they cause for the investigators.
Sincerely,
Me
