What alleged skepticism? A+ has made itself the poster child* for the fact that atheism =/= skepticism.

I agree with most of the basic ideas behind Atheism+ but that really is a bad forum. The number of Mods, the necessity to agree with certain concepts before posting, the arbitrariness of some of the decisions all serve to shut down discussion.

As someone pointed out up thread, it reads like a support forum, which is fine, but that's not the place to discuss things.

Also, just as a side note, the language behind most of the discussion is very American centric. Something which would be considered offensive or weird in the UK (People of Colour, for example) or not as offensive (the word ****) always falls towards the American definition.

The they in that comment referred to Rebbecca. So it was her who expected them to stop at her level of rhetoric and behavior.

The implication was they only moved a small step past her.

Interesting. The comments seem to be divided between: "Who told you you should cross the street*? No one ever told you that! You're misrepresenting our arguments!" and "You won't cross the street? That makes you an arrogant self-centered jerk!"

Disappointing from Rebecca, imo. One of the biggest issues that caused A+ in the first place (and one I firmly disagree with) is the assumption that all trolls and mysoginists on the internet are within the atheist/skeptic communities.
